Connection method
The "metal hose" that everyone usually calls is called "metal coated hose for connecting gas appliances". It consists of three main structures: plastic sheath, metal sheath, and gas hose. Effectively prevent corrosion and resist damages such as external impact.
Old-style gas rubber hoses have a single-layer structure and are generally black. Its corrosion resistance, heat resistance and external force resistance are obviously different from those of metal hoses. It has only one connection method: socket connection.
The two ends of the metal connection hose have different structures due to different connection methods. Even if the same metal is connected to the hose, its two ends may be connected in different ways.

Threaded connection

Socket connection
When metal hoses and rubber hoses are plug-in connections, the inner diameter of the plug-in rubber hose should match the type and size of the anti-drop joint. Insert all the pagoda joints into the hose, and add hose clamps ( pipe clamp ) and other reliable anti-falling measures to fix them to prevent loosening and falling off. When the rubber hose is used for connection, it must not be subjected to additional stress such as squeezing, its length must not exceed 2 meters, and there must be no joints and no wall penetration. There must be no tee when the rubber hose is connected.
Air tightness test
After the gas appliance and the gas connecting pipe are installed, and after each maintenance and reinstallation, the tightness should be checked, and there should be no leakage or leakage under the working pressure.

It is worth noting that the joint specifications and shapes of the reinforced hose must comply with the regulations in the gas cock and gas appliance standards. The hose must not be crushed, stretched, or excessively bent. During the period, there must be no joints, and it must not pass through walls, doors and windows, or be laid under the ceiling and floor in an environment that is prone to rat bites and insects. The connecting hoses for burning appliances that do not meet the requirements should be replaced in time.
