In January 1960, Shao Hua's mother Zhang Wenqiu came to Dalian to recuperate. At that time, Shao Hua happened to be on the winter vacation, so Zhang Wenqiu brought his daughter to Dalian with him.
As soon as the mother and daughter arrived in Dalian, they heard that Chairman Mao’s son Mao Anying has been recuperating here since he returned from the Soviet Union.
