Sun Weiben joined the revolution at the age of 18, joined the party organization during the vigorous Liberation War, and witnessed the founding of New China. He is also an outstanding leader who grew up in the melting pot built by New China.
He started as a small accountant at the most basic level. After decades of training in different positions, he rose step by step to the position of secretary of the provincial party committee. He served as section chief of the prefectural committee, secretary of the county committee, secretary of the prefectural committee, deputy secretary of the provincial committee, and secretary of the provincial committee. On November 19, 1928, Sun Weiben was born in an ordinary family in Gaizhou, Yingkou, Liaoning Province. It was during his studies that Sun Weiben came into contact with the advanced concepts of communism, pursued ideological progress, and actively participated in progressive student movements and various patriotic activities. Due to his strong organizational skills, he quickly stood out among the students and became the backbone of the student movement.
In 1946, Sun Weiben, who had already learned a lot, resolutely threw himself into the embrace of the revolution. Due to his outstanding performance, he was absorbed into the Communist Party of China within a few months at the age of 19. From then on, he started his glorious political career. When
first joined the revolution, Sun Weiben was mainly engaged in revolutionary work in the
area of Suihua , and served as an officer of the Zhangwei Township Farmers' Association. Because he was well-educated, quick-minded, and good at arithmetic, he was selected to engage in accounting work in many units and worked there for many years.
Although he did not directly go to the front line to kill the enemy, he also made outstanding contributions to the liberation of the entire Northeast and all of China. It is this many years of accounting career that allowed him to accumulate a lot of valuable experience in data processing and coordinating the work of various departments, and he has the ability to deal with various problems.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, there are many wastes waiting to be revitalized. It is now in a critical period of recovery and development in all walks of life. The new people's political power at all levels needs leadership talents. At this critical point, Sun Weiben, who had been a student leader during his school days, was transferred to work in the Organization Department of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee. He started training at the level of section member and was quickly promoted to the level of section chief.
In 1961, Sun Weiben, who had local leadership skills, was transferred to Xifeng County to serve as county party committee secretary, becoming a grassroots county party committee-level official. This was during the three-year difficult period, when people were short of food and clothing, and in some places people even starved to death.
Faced with this dilemma, Sun Weiben tried his best to solve people's food problem. With his unremitting efforts, he finally successfully led the people of Xifeng to overcome the difficulties.
In 1965, Sun Weiben was transferred to Kaiyuan County as the county party committee secretary. But just as he was working hard to lead the people of Kaiyuan out of the predicament, the "Cultural Revolution" broke out, and all walks of life were greatly impacted. Sun Weiben was also affected. He was persecuted and sent to work in the May 7th Cadre School. Although he was in adversity, he still maintained an optimistic and positive attitude, always insisted on his faith in the Communist Party, and survived the most difficult and gloomy period.
In 1970, after Sun Weiben made a comeback, he returned to Xifeng as the county party secretary. Because of the good results he achieved here, he gained the attention of his superiors and was promoted to the post of secretary of the prefectural committee of Tieling City.
Along the way from secretary of the county party committee to secretary of the prefectural party committee, Sun Weiben has received good experience at the grassroots level. His leadership ability and various comprehensive qualities have been unprecedentedly improved. The superior leaders also had great trust in him and transferred him to the Provincial Party Committee in 1982, serving as member of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee (there was a first secretary at the time).
