In 1963, Xu Tingze finally decided to implement his return plan. He took off from Hsinchu Airport in Taiwan and drove a fighter jet to land in Longtian, Fujian. Xu Tingze was the first person to return to the mainland in a fighter jet after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, so he has received great attention.
