As early as the ten-year special period, Jiang Qing and Lin Biao took advantage of the "Cultural Revolution" to continuously cultivate their own forces and small groups, and eventually evolved into two major "counterrevolutionary groups." Under the instigation, coercion and inducement of the two men, many revolutionary heroes were dragged into the water and became their "thugs", unscrupulously destroying national laws and public order, leading to the injustice of a large number of cadres and the masses.
There is a person who does not have a high presence in Jiang Qing Group, but during that special period, he actively cooperated with Jiang Qing to create many unjust cases. This person is Xie Xuegong. During his tenure as director of the Tianjin Revolutionary Committee, he committed many unforgivable mistakes. After the "Gang of Four" was crushed, he was dismissed from all positions in 1978 and expelled from the party nine years later.

Xie Xuegong was born in Xi County, Shanxi Province in October 1916. His original name was Xie Bin. After graduating from high school, he came into contact with revolutionary ideas. He began to participate in revolutionary work in early 1936 and joined the Communist Party of China in July of the same year. After joining the party, Xie Xuegong's revolutionary enthusiasm was very high. He not only actively engaged in anti-Japanese propaganda activities, but also made great contributions to the development of anti-Japanese forces.
At the end of 1936, Xie Xuegong joined the Chinese Red Army and went to northern Shaanxi with the army, and received systematic revolutionary education at the "Anti-Japanese University" in Yan'an. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Taiyuan, Shanxi fell into the clutches of the Japanese invaders. Xie Xuegong was dispatched by the organization to return to Shanxi and actively organized anti-Japanese forces in Linfen area. At the same time, he also vigorously developed party members and actively carried out party member education.
In 1938, Xie Xuegong served as the Secretary of the Xipu Special District Committee of Southwest Shanxi. At this stage, in order to strengthen our army, he continued to recruit local guerrilla teams and did a lot of commendable work for the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. During the War of Liberation, Xie Xuegong served as deputy political commissar of the Shanxi Luliang Military Region and did a lot of front-line support work, providing strong support for the liberation of Shanxi.

Since August 1949, Xie Xuegong has served as member of the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee, Secretary, Organization Minister and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission. During his term of office, he devoted himself to completing all tasks assigned to him by the Central Committee. In the six years from 1952 to 1958, Xie Xuegong was promoted to the organizational director of the North China Bureau of the Communist Party of China, and was transferred to the central government to concurrently serve as deputy minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and other positions.
As a young provincial and ministerial leader, Xie Xuegong’s life and future are bright. In April 1958, the 42-year-old Xie Xuegong was transferred to the position of Secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee; in January 1967, he was sent to Tianjin by the Central Committee as the First Secretary. At the same time, he also became the core leader and director of Tianjin's "Revolutionary Committee" and began to participate in "Cultural Revolution" activities.

In April 1969, during the Ninth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Xie Xuegong was elected as a member of the Central Committee. At the same time, he also serves as the first political commissar of the Tianjin Garrison Region, political commissar of the Beijing Military Region and member of the Party Committee Standing Committee. During his eleven years in power in Tianjin, he not only actively cooperated with the conspiracy activities of the "Gang of Four", but was also willing to become their "protective umbrella".
He turned a blind eye and turned a blind eye to the behavior of the "Gang of Four", conniving and cooperating with it, which led to endless unjust, false and wrong cases. He watched many innocent cadres unjustly imprisoned and their families destroyed.
In 1978, Xie Xuegong was isolated and examined by the organization. After investigation, it was found that he had committed serious mistakes during his tenure in Tianjin. In June of the same year, 62-year-old Xie Xuegong was removed from all positions. Finally, the central government decided to expel him from the party in March 1987.
