One day in 1950, a letter from a woman from Wuxi was presented to Chairman Mao's desk. Chairman Mao has always attached great importance to letters from the masses.
Chairman Mao immediately opened the letter and read it. The letter written by the woman was more than 2,000 words. When Chairman Mao saw it, the names of two people attracted the high attention of Chairman Mao. During the process of reading the letter, it was not difficult to see that Chairman Mao was a little excited.
After reading it, Chairman Mao immediately picked up his pen and quickly wrote a letter. After writing it, he immediately handed the letter to the staff and asked to deliver the letter to Wuxi as soon as possible and handed it to the woman. After the staff of
took the letter, Chairman Mao lit a cigarette, picked up the woman's letter again, and read it over and over again. Before he knew it, Chairman Mao's thoughts also returned to the past...
Who is this woman? Why did her letter receive high attention from Chairman Mao? After Chairman Mao picked up the pen and wrote the letter, why did he ask the staff to send the letter quickly?
A letter reminded Chairman Mao about what happened more than 30 years ago
The woman was named Wu Qirui. In fact, Chairman Mao did not know her.
Chairman Mao attached great importance to the voice of the people, but what Chairman Mao did not expect at that time was that in this letter, Wu Qirui mentioned the names of "Wang Li'an" and "Wang Renlu" . As soon as the two names appeared, it was like a stone was thrown into a calm lake, and ripples were rippled in Chairman Mao's heart.

read this letter over and over again. Before he knew it, Chairman Mao's eyes turned red. Chairman Mao's thoughts were full of thoughts, and his memories went back more than 30 years ago...
In the spring of 1914, Hunan Provincial First Normal School and the Fourth Normal School merged, and Chairman Mao went to the First Normal School to continue his studies.
During the learning process of the first teacher, the teachers who had a great influence on Chairman Mao were Yang Changji, Xu Teli, and Wang Li'an and others.
Although Chairman Mao’s math grades were not good at that time, in the eyes of Mathematics teacher Mr. Wang Li'an, Chairman Mao was a very talented, courageous, hardworking and hardworking talent. Therefore, Wang Li'an valued Chairman Mao very much, and Mr. Wang Li'an also devoted more energy to Chairman Mao. During the learning process of
, Chairman Mao felt Mr. Wang Li'an's importance to him. During the day and night with Wang Li'an, Chairman Mao discovered that although Mr. Wang Li'an was a mathematics teacher, his ancient Chinese, calligraphy and medicine were also quite accomplished.
At the same time, Mr. Wang Li'an's humble and rewarding style left a profound impression on Chairman Mao, who was still a young man at that time.
At that time, Chairman Mao's father thought he was "not doing his job" and refused to give Chairman Mao a living expenses. In addition, the Xiangxiang Guild Hall where Chairman Mao lived had been occupied by the army, which also made Chairman Mao lose his place to live. At this moment, Mr. Wang Li'an extended a helping hand to Chairman Mao and invited him to live in his home for a summer.
In the summer when I lived at Mr. Wang Li'an's house, Chairman Mao not only talked about the past and present with his teachers, Chairman Mao got along very well with his teacher's family members. For example, he became a good friend with Wang Li'an's son Wang Renlu, and Chairman Mao even asked Wang Renlu to call himself "Brother Mao".

At that time, Chairman Mao often took Wang Renlu, Wang Renda (Wang Renlu cousin) and others to climb the ancient city wall of Changsha to Tianxin Pavilion for sightseeing.
Once, during the sightseeing, Chairman Mao couldn't help but feel mixed feelings. He couldn't help but recite a poem written not long ago to mourn Jacky Cheung Yi Chang Tao in front of the Wang brothers to express his patriotism.
Wang Li'an often encourages his children to learn from Chairman Mao. Chairman Mao often inspires Wang Renlu's brother and sister in his thoughts, so that they can understand: an ideal and ambitious young man should "worry about the world first, and be happy about the world later!"
In April 1918, a pioneer group of the Chinese revolution, the Chinese revolution, was the pioneer group. —— Xinmin Society , born under the careful planning of Chairman Mao and others. During that time, although Wang Renlu did not join the Xinmin Society, he often followed Chairman Mao to communicate and communicate, and was very busy...
Chairman Mao is a person who attaches great importance to feelings. For many years, he has been unable to forget Mr. Wang Li'an's kindness to educate him.
During the Anti-Japanese War, Chairman Mao was reminiscing with the famous writer and friend Xiao San in Yan'an, and also excitedly talked about his experience of studying at Xiao San's second brother in the first division and studying at Mr. Wang Li'an's house for math. He also called Mr. Wang "a sensible person" and "good person" in his unique customary language.
After the liberation, Chairman Mao asked someone to inquire about the whereabouts and situation of his teacher Mr. Wang Li'an many times. When he learned that the teacher had passed away in 1926, Chairman Mao expressed deep regret and even shed tears for it. In the days that followed, Chairman Mao also inquired about the whereabouts of Mr. Wang Li'an's family many times, but there was no result...

Recalling the past, Chairman Mao couldn't help but recite: "Recalling the past with glorious years. Just as the classmate was young, in his prime, his scholar's spirit was full of energy, and he was full of energy. He pointed to the country, inspired the words, and dung the marquis of thousands of households back then..."
"If there is any danger in the future, you can go to Brother Mao"
Why did Wu Qirui mention Wang Li'an and Wang Renlu in the letter? After reading Wu Qirui's letter, Chairman Mao learned that Wu Qirui is a teacher and has eight children. He is Wang Renlu's wife and Wang Li'an's daughter-in-law.
One day at the end of July 1950, an exciting news came from the primary school affiliated to Wuxi Normal University in Jiangsu: "Chairman Mao wrote a letter to Teacher Wu Qirui!"
At that time, Wu Qirui held Chairman Mao's letter in his hand, and tears fell down with smiles.
The reason why Wu Qirui wrote to Chairman Mao was because in 1948, her husband Wang Renlu held her hand tightly before his death and revealed something he had never told his wife, and told him: "It's coming soon, Mao Zedong has a good relationship with my father. Now I am unfortunately dead early. The 8 children depend on you. If there is any danger in the future, you can go and find Brother Mao."
At that time, Wu Qirui did not care about her husband's death instructions. Until shortly after her husband Wang Renlu passed away, Wu Qirui was liberated. By chance, he read the documents of Chairman Mao's youth and suddenly found that his father-in-law Wang Li'an was Chairman Mao's math teacher.
At that moment, Wu Qirui realized that her husband's death words were not what he said when he was unconscious, but were true. At the same time, the burden on the family had already made Wu Qirui breathless. Her monthly salary was 47 yuan, but she still had 8 children in the family. In addition, three children had severe reactions due to malnutrition. All of this was like a mountain of pressure on the top of the BCG vaccine.
At this critical moment, Wu Qirui remembered her husband's instructions to her before her death, so she decided to try to write a letter to Chairman Mao.

But in fact, when writing a letter to Chairman Mao, Wu Qirui was very worried about whether he should write this letter. She knew that New China had just been established, and Chairman Mao must have been busy with everything and forgot to eat and sleep. She thought that she should not disturb Chairman Mao for the matter of her children, and also considered that even if she wrote it herself, she was very worried about whether the letter could be handed over to Chairman Mao, but after careful consideration, she decided to give it a try.
In the letter, Wu Qi wrote: "... Chairman Wanqi is concerned about the friendship between the world, and is concerned about the loneliness and weakness of children, and is specially promoted to allow the little girl Xinyue and the children Xinfeng and Xinzhi to join the class of cadres and children in the southern Jiangsu region."
Chairman Mao replied in the letter:
Qirui :
received a letter in May, and it was very confusing. Please allow your three children to join the class of cadres in southern Jiangsu to alleviate your difficulties. Please discuss with the responsible persons of the local appropriate agencies to see if it is feasible. It is up to you to decide who to discuss it. If necessary, you can go to Comrade Chen Pixian, Secretary of the Party Committee of Southern Jiangsu. I don’t agree with it, just don’t know if the children’s class has a lot of children to accommodate? You are the mother of eight, take care of yourself and greet your children.
This reply, and praised

Looking at the handwritten letter sent to him by Chairman Mao, Wu Qirui burst into tears with excitement. Then, Wu Qirui followed the instructions of "Brother Mao" and found Chen Pixian with the letter.
After coming to the Southern Jiangsu Administrative Office, Wu Qirui took out Chairman Mao’s handwritten letter and said to the guard at the door: "I want to see Chen Pixian. I have Chairman Mao’s handwritten letter here."
Soon, Wu Qirui met Chen Pixian. After reading Chairman Mao’s handwritten letter and understanding the situation at Wu Qirui’s home, Chen Pixian quickly implemented the study issue of Wu Qirui’s three children.
Under the instructions of Chairman Mao and the implementation of Chen Pixian, Wu Qirui's three children were arranged to study for free at Wuxi Normal University Affiliated Primary School. In order to facilitate Wu Qirui to take good care of the child, the school not only gave her no living every semester, but also arranged for her to live in the school. This greatly changed Wu Qirui's life and made Wu Qirui even more grateful to Chairman Mao. What Wu Qirui did not expect was that in the years that followed, she could actually meet "Brother Mao"...
Chairman Mao called to meet Wu Qirui
Far, 10 years passed in a short while. In June 1960, Chairman Mao came to Shanghai for inspection. During this process, Chairman Mao met Chen Pixian and took the initiative to mention Wu Qirui's situation to him. When he learned that Wang Renlu's widow Wu Qirui's family was doing well, Chairman Mao nodded with satisfaction and said: "I want to see her and learn about the situation in their home myself."
Soon, the Wuxi United Front Work Department received a notice and asked that someone be sent to Shanghai immediately.
Wuxi United Front Work Department Minister Xu Zhongfu, after receiving this notice, went to Wu Qirui's home in the rain to inform Wu Qirui. Chairman Mao called for her to see her. After Wu Qirui learned about this, he was slightly stunned, and then said excitedly: "Chairman Mao is going to meet me! Chairman Mao is going to meet me!"
The next day, Wu Qirui took a special car to Shanghai. In Shanghai, Wu Qirui met Chen Pixian first. Chen Pixian conveyed Chairman Mao's concern for their family to Wu Qirui. Hearing this, Wu Qirui's mood became more and more urgent to see Chairman Mao.

At 3 pm on June 26, 1960, Chairman Mao sent someone to pick up Wu Qirui at Jinjiang Hotel .
When sitting in the car, Wu Qirui was eager to see Chairman Mao, but when he arrived at the hotel, Wu Qirui was worried that he would disturb Chairman Mao. Although he was anxious, his steps were very light.
When Wu Qirui came to Chairman Mao's office lightly, the moment she saw Chairman Mao, she excitedly reached out to Chairman Mao. When Chairman Mao saw her, she quickly stood up and stretched out her hand, and then said kindly: "Hello, Teacher Wu!"
"Mao...Mao..." Wu Qirui originally had a lot of words to say to Chairman Mao, but at the moment she really saw Chairman Mao, she was so excited that she couldn't even say the three words "Chairman Mao".
Seeing that Wu Qirui was very nervous, Chairman Mao signaled her to sit down. Then Chairman Mao took the initiative to chat with her about family matters. Seeing that Chairman Mao was kind and friendly, Wu Qirui's originally nervous heart gradually calmed down.
During the chat, Chairman Mao learned about the situation of his mentor Wang Li'an and Wang Renlu, who was as close as a brother. After understanding clearly, Chairman Mao and Wu Qirui were in a heavy mood. In order to relieve the depressed and depressing atmosphere, Chairman Mao asked Wu Qirui in detail about the situation of his eight children.
For some reason, Wu Qirui missed a child while introducing Chairman Mao. Wu Qirui didn't even notice it, but Chairman Mao found out. He smiled and asked: "Teacher Wu, don't I have eight nephews and nieces? You only talked about seven just now!"

Upon hearing this, Wu Qirui couldn't help laughing. Then Wu Qirui told Chairman Mao that he had not taken the initiative to mention that the child was now studying in a normal school. Chairman Mao nodded and said with a smile: "Mr. Li'an is a teacher, his daughter is a teacher, and his daughter-in-law is also a teacher. In the future, his granddaughter will also be a teacher. Your family can be called a teacher's home!"
Then, Chairman Mao asked Wu Qirui in detail about the family housing and economic life, and several times he had to give Wu Qirui the royalties of 300 yuan...
Soon, Chairman Mao talked with Wu Qirui for more than an hour. After Wu Qirui repeatedly asked Chairman Mao to rest, Chairman Mao stood up and put on a top and said, "Okay, then let's go outside for a walk, even if we have a rest!"
After coming outside, Chairman Mao asked the staff to get two chairs, and then asked Wu Qirui: "Let's take a photo as a souvenir!"
Wu Qirui nodded happily. After sitting down and taking one, Chairman Mao asked to stand up and take another photo. Although the time for taking the photo was short, this memory has always impressed Wu Qirui.
When we parted, Chairman Mao enthusiastically sent Wu Qirui to the door: "Teacher Wu, take care of yourself! Please say hello to your mother and children on my behalf!"

Although the car was getting farther and farther, the Chairman Mao saw became more and more blurred, but Chairman Mao's tall and majestic image was always engraved in Wu Qirui's heart.
In the years that followed, Chairman Mao still cared about Wu Qirui and her children. At the end of January 1961, Chairman Mao specially handed his 1,000 yuan manuscript fee to the secretary, and asked the secretary to send the money to Wu Qirui.
is the 1,000 yuan sent by Chairman Mao, which helped Wu Qirui and his children to safely survive three years of difficult times. After the children's economic improvement in their posts, Wu Qirui sent 1,000 yuan to Chairman Mao in 1967.
On September 9, 1976, the great people’s leader Chairman Mao passed away! When Wu Qirui, who was lying on the hospital bed, heard the news, she cried in a daze. She didn't want to believe that Chairman Mao had passed away. Unconsciously, she recalled the warm big hands and kind face of Chairman Mao when she met Chairman Mao...
On January 22, 1980, Wu Qirui died in Wuxi.
