October 25, 1945, this is an unforgettable day for the people of Taiwan.
Because, it was on this day that the invader, the little Japanese, who had occupied Taiwan for half a century, finally surrendered.
In this half century, the people of Taiwan have suffered inhumane suppression and persecution from Japan, and have suffered enslavement and torture.
The pain and pain are self-evident.
Therefore, when the Japanese army announced its surrender, the six million Taiwanese people cheered and were filled with joy, just like the New Year.

After the surrender ceremony, the commander-in-chief of the Kuomintang’s military in Taiwan and second-level general of the Army Chen Yi made a speech and said:
"I was ordered to be the chief official of Taiwan’s surrender. The surrender ceremony has been successfully completed... From today on, Taiwan and Penghu Islands have officially re-entered the Chinese territory... ·····"
However, although Kuomintang took over Taiwan, its management of Taiwan is unsatisfactory.
Although Chiang Kai-shek had high hopes for Taiwan and went to Taiwan for inspection and speeches in 1946 and 1047 respectively, the high-sounding and good-sounding words sounded very beautiful, but they were extremely disappointing in the implementation of reality.
After the 70th Army of the Kuomintang took the lead in Taiwan, the Taiwanese people thought it was a people's army that provided them with security, but things went against their wishes. After the 70th Army of the Kuomintang entered Taiwan, the military discipline was extremely chaotic. It can be said that there was no military discipline. The soldiers were arrogant. At the very least, they trespassed into private houses, and at the worst, they robbed property in the street, and sold the robbed property but was useless in the street.
is simply outrageous!
Even Chen Yi, the head of Taiwan designated by Chiang Kai-shek at that time, could not bear it and could not bear it. It is conceivable that the Kuomintang’s 70th Army was arbitrary action.
Chen Yi had no choice but to report the situation to Chiang Kai-shek and applied to withdraw the 70th Army.
However, at this time, the Kuomintang was no longer as simple as withdrawing the 70th Army.
Because the Kuomintang government did not solve a fatal problem, this problem has been there after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, but the Chiang Kai-shek government has not handled it well - that is, whether to win people's hearts or accept property?

In the mainland, the Chiang Kai-shek government did not handle this problem well, and when he arrived in Taiwan, it also did not handle it well.
Because, the scene similar to the 70th Army in Taiwan continued to be staged later.
With the continuous defeat of the Kuomintang army, the Kuomintang military and political officials felt that the general situation was overwhelming, and they were pouring into Taiwan either lightly or underly. These people rely on their own power and were rampant in Taiwan. At the least, they could rob and occupy real estate, and at the worst, they could rob their wives and rape women. What's more, they set up private courts and disregard human lives.
In short, they are not here to clean up people's hearts, but to be robbers.
At this time, Chiang Kai-shek was in a panic. The mainland's defeat was already unclear, so he had no energy to take into account the chaos in Taiwan.
The result is that it has suffered 6 million Taiwanese people.
just escaped from the wolf's mouth and fell into the tiger's mouth of the Kuomintang's chaos army. Just like a poem circulating in Taipei schools at that time, two excerpts are first, as follows:
"Except the wealth wolf and the tiger and leopard, get out of hell and jump into the fire pit."
In the winter of 1946, a reporter from the American " New York Times " witnessed the situation in Taiwan and wrote an interview manuscript. One of the professors of Taiwan University said:
"You Americans only lost two atomic bombs to Japan, but they put down a Chiang Kai-shek government that was more powerful than thousands of atomic bombs... Their officials came and only accepted property, not people's hearts."
In fact, this was an old disease of the Chiang Kai-shek government, which accumulated cancer in the later period. The same is true in the mainland.
This professor at National Taiwan University is very powerful and points out the root cause of the inevitable defeat of Chiang Kai-shek's government.

By early 1947, from February to March.
It was originally a good time for spring to arrive, but the spring in Taiwan that year was dark and bloody. The fuse of the
incident occurred on the afternoon of February 27, 1947, about six or seven o'clock.
Next to Tianma Tea House, Taiping Town, Yanping North Road, Taipei City, there is a cigarette stand.
The owner of the cigarette stand is Lin Jiangmai . She is a woman in her forties. Her husband passed away and she had a hard time living with two children.
cigarette stand is the only source of income for their family of three.
However, for the Taipei City managers at that time, it was illegal to set up cigarette stands to buy and sell cigarettes.
In order to prohibit private cigarette stands from buying and selling cigarettes, Taipei has a closed management agency called Taipei City Monopoly Bureau.
Of course, it is the same at any time. With an institution, rights arise.
has rights, and benefits.
If there is profit, something terrible will happen.
. At 6:00 p.m. on the 27th, Ye Degen, a specialist of the Taipei Monopoly Bureau, and nine "private" staff members suddenly appeared on the street. The private cigarette dealers on both sides of the street saw this and evaded their stalls to hide. Only Lin Jiangmai saw it late and had no time to evacuate, and was surrounded by nine "private" staff members.
Ye Degen issued a very high ticket to Lin Chiangmai. Not only did he confiscate dozens of her cigarettes, but he also confiscated all her only possessions - 6,000 yuan in cash.
For the poor, when the straw that maintains their value and life is taken away, they naturally refuse to give up.
So, Lin Chiang Mai was begging hard, crying.
However, an inspector couldn't stand the entanglement and swung the gun handle in his hand and launched violent law enforcement.
The gun handle hit Lin Chiang Mai's head, and Lin Chiang Mai was beaten to death.
A poor couple pounced on their mother's body and cried loudly.
Since ancient times, such a scene has attracted the most public anger.
As expected, the onlookers broke out and they attacked the inspectors.
There was a force conflict between the two sides, in which inspector Zhao Zijian and police officer Zhang Qixiang were beaten up by the masses.
However, in the chaos, inspector Fu Xuetong shot and killed a citizen Chen Wenxi.

At this point, this originally simple conflict of smoke censorship has escalated into a large-scale civil unrest.
The next day - on February 28, 1947, a large-scale petition team appeared on Yanping North Road, Taipei, holding banners such as "Destroy the Monopoly Bureau" and "Punish the Police who Massacre Good People".
They came to the provincial Chief Executive Office door and shouted slogans and asked for official handling, but were intercepted by the military and police.
So, another armed conflict occurred between the two sides, resulting in more than 30 deaths on the spot. The situation of
is very bad. It can be said that it is the 2.0 version of the smoke conflict yesterday.
Bloody conflicts have always been the most sensitive springboard for the escalation of conflicts between officials and the people. After the violent conflict in
2.0 version, the situation further expanded and the originally simple demonstrations escalated again. However, this upgrade has undergone qualitative changes.
In the first place, they just wanted to obtain their own demands through civilized means, but later, this time there was no demand, but they wanted to fight for their own interests through force. They wanted to expel the Kuomintang government and implement autonomous management.
The anti-Chiang armed uprising broke out like this. The mass team of the uprising set fire to the monopoly branch, surrounding the provincial office, the provincial monopoly bureau, the provincial police station, and the radio station.

confrontation between the military and police and the uprising team is even more terrifying, with constant gunfire and numerous casualties.
After the uprising team occupied the radio station, the terrible incident of Taipei military and police massacre of the masses was broadcast to the outside world, and the people of Taipei City had already revolted. After hearing the news, people were surprised and responded one after another. In just a few days, the fire of the uprising began to burn vigorously across Taiwan.
At that time, there were not many garrisons in Taiwan. The 70th Army was originally stationed, but Chen Yi applied for transfer because of his poor military discipline. The new garrison team had not yet been in place. At that time, the only troops stationed in Taiwan were independent regiment of the 21st Army, and there were some policemen.
Therefore, the uprising team started very smoothly and quickly defeated the military and police. Except for the two places where heavy troops were guarded in Keelung and Kaohsiung , the rest of the places were basically occupied and controlled by the uprising team.
:00 to the afternoon of March 2, the uprisingers held an uprising meeting in the Taichung Theater under the name of the "Constitutional Promotion Association". Xie Xuehong was the chairman of the conference at that time. He made an important speech at the conference, made reasonable arrangements for the results of the uprising, and made arrangements for the next step of uprising work.
At this conference, the Taichung Command of the Taiwan Autonomous Army was established, and Wu Zhenwu was elected as the commander-in-chief. The post-uprial uprising armed forces solved six military police teams, capturing more than 300 officers and soldiers, as well as more than 300 officers and soldiers from the Third Air Force Machinery Factory, more than 100 police officers and staff from various agencies. Taichung The whole city was controlled and became the center of the uprising in Taiwan.
Armed uprising teams from Peng Hua, Dajia and other places moved closer to Taichung.

Originally, Chen Yi believed that the people's uprising was just a small fight and could be completely controlled. However, by March 2, when the uprising team occupied all areas in an organized and deployed manner. He realized the seriousness of the situation, but it was too late at this time because the troops in his hands could no longer control the storm of the uprising.
So, on March 2, he panicked and sent Chiang Kai-shek a "extreme emergency" telegram, writing:
"Nanjing, special emergency.
Chairman Jiang both reviewed: Taiwan's riots have reached the whole province, and the situation is critical. Please send the 'national' army to Taiwan for rescue."
Chiang Kai-shek was also shocked when he saw this telegram, and then ordered the Liu Yuqing, who was stationed near Shanghai, to lead the 21st army to rush to Taiwan to quell the uprising and asked him to arrive before March 8.

After Liu Yuqing received the order, he immediately rectified the team to Taiwan.
On the morning of March 8, the vanguard of the 21st Army arrived at Keelung Port .
However, before the vanguard of the 21st Army landed, it was protested and intercepted by the uprising teams gathered on the shore and ordinary people.
21 In order to land, the vanguard of the army directly set up machine gun and fired wildly at the people on the shore. Many innocent people died immediately on the spot.
But what is even more shocking is that after the vanguard of the 21st Army landed, many protesters were tied up with iron wire, regardless of gender, age, and thrown into the sea. The corpses floated on the sea for a while, which was a terrible sight.
Then the 21st Army attacked from all directions, on one side, he was a bloody "suppression" and marched towards Taipei.
During this period, especially in Keelung, the city was massacred for three days, such as the massacre of more than 400 middle school students standing guard. The tragic situation is unbearable to describe it.
There is also a place in Kaohsiung. When the uprising troops attacked the Kaohsiung Fortress, the commander of the Kaohsiung Fortress Peng Mengji saw that the uprising team was in a mighty manner, and ordered the entire army to defend to the death and dare not attack. But later, when the 21st Army arrived in Taiwan to brutally suppress the uprising team, Peng Mengji immediately ordered the defenders to launch bloody attacks on Kaohsiung and Tainan , and even said that "it doesn't matter if you kill a few people by mistake." Because of his order, his troops started to kill innocent people indiscriminately. It is a disaster for the people, but it has become a contribution to Peng Mengji. After this bloody crackdown, Peng Mengji was promoted to Taiwan's security commander. The uprising triggered by

" 2.28 incident " was eventually suppressed by cruel blood. There are many uprising people and innocent people who were brutally massacred, with a total of more than 30,000. Among them, Peng Mengji reported that he killed "mobs of more than 2,500", Keelung Fortress Commander Shi Hongtao reported that he killed "mobs of more than 1,000", Taichung Mayor Huang Keli reported that he died "mobs of more than 1,500", Taipei City reported that "mobs of more than 5,000" and other cities and counties reported that the death toll was more than hundreds.
Relevant people said that these are official data, and the actual number of deaths is far more than 30,000.
Taiwan, after this change, people's hearts have been greatly lost, especially their disappointment with the Kuomintang government.
When dealing with the incident of the Taiwan uprising, Chiang Kai-shek once again acted as a two-faced person. On the one hand, he sent the army to suppress it cruelly and bloodyly and massacred 30,000 people, but on the other hand, he delivered a speech in Nanjing on March 10, framed all the causes of the uprising and other matters on the head of the Communist Party. I want to use this to create conflicts between the "People and the Communist Party" to win people's hearts.
On the same day, Bai Chongxi was sent to Taiwan to express condolences. However, Bai Chongxi was slow to go to Taiwan until the 17th. At that time, Taiwan was already bloody suppression and massacre of more than 30,000 people.

However, Chiang Kai-shek knew that Taiwan’s conflict could not be solved by pushing and cheating, so he had to find a scapegoat to try to block the mouths of public opinion. In the end, Chen Yi became the first person in charge of Taiwan’s “28th” incident and the Taiwan uprising.
In the document scolding Chen Yi, he wrote:
"(Chen Yi) presided over Taiwan's political affairs and did not know his shortcomings, but only the simplicity of being accused of whitewashing is a plea... It is too much to hate!"
Then, Chen Yi was dismissed.

At this point, Chiang Kai-shek's handling of Taiwan's "February 28" incident and even the subsequent uprising incident has temporarily ended.
