After the demise of Kamakura Shogunate, Go Daigo Emperor became the only emperor with real power in the country during the Shogunate era. However, because Emperor Go Daigo's " Kanwu New Policy " was unpopular, he was finally driven out of Kyoto by Ashikaga Hoshi , and Japan entered the Northern and Southern Dynasties , where the two emperors were united together, and the "Kanwu New Policy" also completely failed. Interestingly, Emperor Go Daigo felt that the "New Policy on Jianwu" was "destiny to be returned to heaven" until his death.

The second year of cultural protection (1318), Emperor Go Daigo ascended the throne, and was thirty-one years old, breaking a historical record - the first emperor to ascend the throne in more than 250 years. In the first year of Yuanheng HTML (1321). Emperor Go Daigo's father, Father Go Uta, died of illness, and Emperor Go Daigo broke another historical record: the first emperor without "Yuan Zheng" in 153 years.

Just three years after he ascended the throne, Emperor Go Daigo, who did nothing, broke two historical records that lasted for hundreds of years. Because there is no "Yuanzheng", the latter Emperor Daigo has a stronger control over the imperial court than the previous emperor. At the same time, Emperor Go Daigo encountered another historical opportunity - the rule of the Kamakura Shogunate was collapsed, and the Kamakura Shogunate faced by Emperor Go Daigo was the weakest shogunate in history. The above three historical opportunities made Emperor Go Daigo firmly believe that he was "destined to be the "destiny of heaven" and made up his mind to overthrow the shogunate and regain power. Although Emperor Go Daigo's reverse movement failed in the early stage, he himself was exiled to 小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小小 However, less than a year later, various forces dissatisfied with the Kamakura Shogunate formed an anti-shog alliance, and Emperor Go Daigo also escaped from Hitoki Island.

And on the way back to Kyoto from Hitoki Island, Ashikaga Jun conquered Kyoto, and Nianda Yoshisaki conquered Kamakura. In addition to the "one-year tour" of Yinqi Island, Emperor Go-Daigo almost "winned" the war of the downfall. The success of overthrowing the Kamakura Shogunate and the Hojo family made Emperor Go Daigo more convinced that he was "destined to be the one who dared to implement the "New Dealing in the Martial Arts Policy".

Because of this, when Ashikaga rebelled in the second year of Kenbu in (1335), Emperor Go Daigo believed that Ashikaga would be quickly destroyed like the Kamakura Shogunate. Even though he was driven out of Kyoto by Ashikaga's Hoshi and fled to Yoshino, Emperor Go Daigo still firmly believed that the "Kanwu New Policy" was "destined to be the destiny", until he died of illness in the second year of Liying (1339).
