As we all know, during the War of Resistance Against Japan, Yan'an had poor living conditions, and even Chairman Mao wore patched clothes. Under such arduous conditions, Chairman Mao's youngest daughter Li Na was born on August 3, 1940 and was delivered by Jin Maoyue, director of obstetrics and gynecology at Yan'an General Hospital.

According to statistics, in the 8 years of Yan'an Central Hospital in Yan'an, more than 3,000 children were delivered, including Lin Biao's daughter Lin Doudou, Xiao Jinguang's daughter Xiao Kai, and Li Na, who were all born in this hospital, and the Central Hospital provides strong guarantees for the rear.
At that time, Yan'an General Hospital received support from all parties, but the environment was still very difficult. The hospital did not even have a generator or a place to store blood. When there was a sudden need for blood transfusion, doctors and nurses could only donate blood in turn, and many drugs were also lacking. What is more serious is the draft problem. It is common for Loess Plateau to be found in Loess Plateau. In order to solve the problem of water use, the hospital dug a well by itself, but it still cannot meet the water needs of the entire hospital staff. They also had to use a donkey to pull water from a distance. In such an environment, medical staff still saved many lives.

Because Li Na was born in Yan'an Central Hospital, Chairman Mao had a lot of intersections and stories with the medical staff. This matter started in July 1940. At that time, Jiang Qing went to the Central Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital to be hospitalized for delivery. On August 3, Li Na was born successfully and was delivered by Director Jin Maoyue himself.
During Jiang Qing's hospitalization, Chairman Mao visited her many times. One day, Chairman Mao went to the hospital. According to midwife Li Ping's recollection, Chairman Mao was wearing coarse cloth clothes and had patched the two knees on his pants. Chairman Mao cordially expressed his gratitude to the director of the delivery of the baby, Jin Maoyue.
After that, Chairman Mao talked to everyone about homely affairs. The approachable Chairman Mao gave everyone a very friendly feeling and had a pleasant chat. After that, Chairman Mao also specifically reminded everyone of something, saying: "Jiang Qing has not participated in the revolution for a long time, so he should not take any special care of her."

Chairman Mao has always been principled. In the difficult environment at that time, everyone should overcome and spend it together, and not make it special because of the difference between position and identity. This will affect everyone's enthusiasm and cause adverse effects, so Chairman Mao would specifically remind him of this matter.
learned that Chairman Mao had arrived at the hospital, and Vice President Shi Changjie came to report on the work. Shi Changjie reported a problem to Chairman Mao, saying that a unit on the back mountain of the hospital installed a generator, which was very noisy every time the power was generated, affecting the rest of the hospital staff and patients.
Chairman Mao heard the vice president say this and then said, "The patient needs to rest quietly. The noise of the generator does have an impact. However, Jiang Qing is hospitalized now. If they are asked to move the generator, it may be misunderstood. The impact is not good. Let's talk about it after Jiang Qing is discharged!" Later, after Jiang Qing was discharged, the generator on the mountain was also moved away.
Not long afterwards, it was Li Na's full moon, and it happened to be the Mid-Autumn Festival. In order to thank the medical staff of the Central Hospital, Chairman Mao invited a total of 17 medical staff to visit the home of Yangjialing . Because there were too many people on that day, he separated the men and women and had dinner in two caves.

Chairman Mao accompanied the gay men, while Jiang Qing accompanied the lesbians. Everyone chatted and laughed together, and the meals were very ordinary, but the atmosphere was very pleasant. They also took a group photo together and took two photos. Now these two photos are preserved and exhibited in the Yan'an Revolutionary Museum.
