Retired cadre Meng Qingjiang, a CPPCC in Nehe City, donated 20 books and various historical materials to the city archives to express the passionate mind of a retired cadre and was widely praised.

Meng Qingjiang, a retired cadre of the Municipal CPPCC, is an 82-year-old retired cadre of the Municipal CPPCC. During his tenure, he has been engaged in secretarial , historical records and archives. He served twice as editor-in-chief and chief editor of "Nehe County Chronicles" (1986 edition), "Nehe City Chronicles" (2005 edition). After retiring from the position of executive vice chairman of the Municipal CPPCC, the old man still shines with enthusiasm and keeps writing, and has been working hard for the historical and chronicles of Nehe . Over the past 20 years, he has compiled four books, namely "Nehe City CPPCC Chronicles", "Nehe City Local List", "Nehe City People's Chronicles", and has also supervised and directed four professional books, namely "Nehe City Electrical Industry Chronicles" and "Nehe City Trade Union System". In September 2021, Mr. Meng donated these eight books to the reading room of the Municipal Old Cadre Service Center for the reading room of the old cadres to watch and read.
In early October this year, Mr. Meng donated 20 books and historical records, including "City and County Chronicles", "Feng Farm Chronicles", "Nehe County Chronicles" and "A Chronicle of the Founding of Nehe County" that he has compiled and collected in his 22 years of retirement. He has donated 121 work diaries, 498 books, 1,508 magazines, more than 600 domestic and foreign newspapers, 23 work conference photos, 97 video works and 11 CD tapes, etc., a total of 24 types of 3,415 pieces were donated to the Municipal Archives. The Archives set up a counter for Mr. Meng to keep. The old manβs spirit of caring about the motherland and loving his hometown is commendable. He has dedicated all kinds of historical materials accumulated over the years to the country without reservation. These historical materials will surely play an immeasurable role in the future compilation of history and revision of chronicles of Nehe. (Yang Shaohua)
