The most basic thing about lurking in an enemy war zone is to not be suspected by the people around you or be discovered by the enemy. On this basis, we must also strive to obtain information and pass it on to our front troops.
Among the red agents, there is a legendary existence. He was once personally awarded the code name "carpenter" by Premier Zhou, and he also married a woman who was married for work needs. He is Tu Zuochao. Before being exposed, he told his wife: " If I don't come back this time, don't ask me to leave quickly. Mao Zedong will take care of your life in the future. ."

Tu Zuochao joined the party
Tu Zuochao is from Changsha, Hunan, and can be regarded as half of Chairman Mao's fellow villager. He is also from a poor family. When he was 14 years old, Tu Zuochao's father sent Tu Zuochao to his second brother-in-law's house to learn carpenter skills in order to allow him to find a craft of survival.
But my second brother-in-law has a bad temper and is very irritable. As long as Tu Zuochao is a little worse than his wish, he will beat him up and scold him. Even with his second sister's protection, the young Tu Zuochao could not bear it. After a quarrel with his second brother-in-law, he left angrily. But his father did not give up. A year later, his father dragged his acquaintance and sent Tu Zuochao and his elder brother to Changsha to continue learning carpenter skills. This time Tu Zuochao successfully finished the skills.
After he finished his studies, he wanted to get a job in Changsha City. However, the situation was turbulent and stable jobs were not easy to find. Tu Zuochao changed several jobs, and the economy was in a downturn, which made him unable to do it for a long time.

Until 1924, his fellow countrymen introduced him to Shanghai to make a living. Tu Zuochao, who arrived in Shanghai, was deeply attracted by the rich and richness of Shanghai. He believed that with his own efforts, he would definitely gain a foothold in Shanghai. He was full of hope for his future life.
He also signed up for the night school, hoping to learn more knowledge and have more advantages when looking for a job. In the night school, he met Cai Linzheng, and then gained a certain understanding of the Communist Party of China, and his thoughts were constantly improving. After Li Lisan's assessment, he joined the Communist Party of China in the spring of that year.

After joining the Communist Party of China, Tu Zuochao participated in a propaganda speech for Shanghai workers to resist the Japanese invaders and was arrested and detained by the British governor for more than one month. In order to consider Tu Zuochao's safety, the organization sent him to Moscow Oriental University for further study.
1927, the party organization entrusted the Soviet Union to help train 100 agents. Tu Zuochao actively signed up, and after selection, he went to the KGB base to learn communications, secret writing and other skills.

1928, Tu Zuochao met Zhou Enlai who came to Moscow for a meeting. He had a great chat with Zhou Enlai. After learning about his experience, Zhou Enlai affectionately called him a carpenter, and he also used this as a code name to carry out his revolutionary work.

It coincided with the need for a minister in the Hunan Provincial Propaganda Department. After careful consideration, the central government decided to return to China to take on this position as the picture. But Tu Zuochao refused. He knew that his knowledge was not deep and he hoped to stay in the Soviet Union to continue his studies.
In his subsequent study career, the problem of low education has been bothering him.In terms of telegram, he was often rated as unqualified by instructors because his literacy rate was not high and he could not remember all the codes. Under the dissuasion of the coach, Tu Zuochao changed his learning direction and deepened his studies in the field of machinery. He can quickly assemble the radio station and accurately identify the problems existing in the radio station.
Tu Zuochao, who graduated in 1930, secretly returned to Shanghai, China to train radio personnel for underground party members in Shanghai. But at the end of 1930, this stronghold was discovered by spies. After Tu Zuochao found something wrong, he disguised himself as a guest who came to visit and successfully escaped.

For the sake of life, I rented out half of my house, so that I can barely support me to eat and wear alone, so how can I afford my wife? Finally, he found a suitable candidate. He is a female worker in the yarn farm, with a child, and is still illiterate, completely meeting his requirements. After marriage, they also gave birth to a son, which made the rice shop owner who suspected him completely relieved.
In 1942, Li Bai was arrested by the Japanese, which made him feel that his identity was exposed. He confessed everything to his wife and fled in a hurry. With the help of the organization, his wife and children were also picked up.
After that, Tu Zuochao not only modified the radio station in the base area, but also presided over the training of a large number of technical talents in communications business. In 1949, after several years, he returned to Shanghai as a member of Chen Yi and . In the autumn of 1952, Tu Zuochao was transferred to the director of the Shanghai Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Ministry of Machinery and Machinery.
In 1984, 81-year-old Tu Zuochao passed away, ending his glorious life.
