Fu Yuji was born in in August 1935 in Taihe County, Jiangxi Province. It is said that their family and the entire village moved from Fujian two or three hundred years ago, and the whole village spoke Hakka dialect. Because her mother's family is in good condition and his father is a son-in-law, she did not take his father's surname Wu, but her mother's surname Fu. Although her grandfather's family was relatively wealthy, she was not allowed to study in remote rural areas at that time. She only studied for two years, mainly to let her know the money. In 1948, the family arranged a marriage, and she was about 14 years old and married a man named Zeng from another village.
She lives in a remote mountainous area (it takes 4 days to return to her hometown from Wuhan in 1969). She was liberated in 1950. In 1950, the People's Liberation Army passed by her village. She saw that there were female soldiers in the army, so she asked her to join the army. The army asked her if she was educated because she was basically illiterate. The comrades in the army told her that she did not meet the conditions for recruiting female soldiers and asked her to mobilize her husband to join the army. She replied that she could not mobilize. A comrade in the People's Liberation Army asked her again: Do you want to join the army? Do your husband and in-laws agree? She answered firmly, they can't control me! Seeing her firm determination and enthusiastic attitude, the comrades in the PLA let her work in the village women's rescue meeting. In 1951, it was the period when the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, so recruitment began in various places. Her husband's village summoned all the people in the temple, and young people of appropriate age should join the army as long as they are not only their only sons. Her husband had no choice but to join the army. Fortunately, her husband also had Gao Xiaohua (primary school), and was assigned to military academies for short-term training, and served in military academies in Wuhan. Because she worked hard and performed well in the village women's rescue association, she was later transferred to the county women's federation and officially became a state cadre. Her family members saw that they worked in the county Women's Federation and became a state cadre, so their family members wrote to her husband: Your wife is all a cadre. If you don't work hard in the army, you will return to the countryside to be a farmer... It put a lot of pressure on her husband, so her husband was in the army and actively asked for progress and worked harder, and later he was promoted.
1958 Her husband was in the army and met the conditions for his family to accompany the army. Fu Yuji was transferred to Wuhan to arrange work. She originally thought of working in a big city. Her husband told her that due to her low educational level, the organization arranged for her to work in the street office.
This transfer work has a great impact on Yu Ji, although she gave birth to her first child in 1959... She has always had a positive spirit. She not only works hard, takes care of her family and raises children, but also participates in the courses of the workers and peasants night school in the unit, and strives to improve her cultural level. In 1966, when she had two children, she successfully completed the junior high school course of Gongnong Night School and was about to continue to participate in the high school course of night school, the Cultural Revolution began, interrupting her dream of continuing to learn cultural knowledge.
In that era, the working conditions of the street office were poor and the salary was not high. She dealt with her mother-in-law and mother every day. She took the initiative to get along with the residents in the district, walked from street to solve their problems and resolve some conflicts between the residents. Comrade Fu Yuji worked hard and diligently, was simple and kind in her work, was selfless in her career, did not pay attention to personal gains and losses, and had the spirit of revolutionary old ox. Therefore, I donโt know when it started, even though she was not old, her comrades always respected her as "Lao Fu". Fu she has served as the secretary of the street office, deputy section chief, section chief, and secretary of the discipline inspection commission. Retirement procedures were completed in 1989.
Fu Yuji has a strong independent personality since she was young. After joining the army to Wuhan, she has been living in the military compound, where life is convenient and the conditions are relatively superior. Later, due to work needs, she divided a house near her work unit, and she moved out of the military compound and integrated into community life.
After retirement, Comrade Fu Yuji mainly helped her children take care of her children because she lives on Liujiaqi Road, Jiang'an District, and it is very convenient for her grandchildren to go to kindergarten, elementary school and middle school. Take care of the lives of children with all your heart and soul. Because she has been suffering from hypertension in for a long time, in addition to getting up early every day to go to Jiefang Park with her old colleagues to exercise, she also participated in traditional Chinese medicine training for the elderly.Retirement life is very fulfilling. She basically helped raise children of her grandchildren. She also knows how to make good dishes. Liu Jiaqi Road is also the jurisdiction of the street office where she works. The neighbors are very familiar with each other. They go to the vegetable market to buy vegetables and come back to cook. The children all like the dishes she cooks. She is kind to the children, and the children have a deep affection for her.
Due to the urban development needs of Wuhan, the Liujiaqi Road where she lives was renovated and the house needed to be demolished. So she moved to the house where her husband was in the retiring house. Although she left the residential area she was familiar with, she insisted on riding her bicycle back to the familiar neighborhood every day, exercising with the old comrades and enjoying the life of retirees. Unfortunately, one morning in March 2004, she rode her bicycle to Jiefang Park for morning exercises, and died in a traffic accident on the road. At the age of 69.
Comrade Fu Yuji grew up in remote mountainous areas since childhood. She is basically illiterate and got married at the age of 14. Although local customs and feudal remnants were still serious at that time, she had a distinct and independent personality, and she continued to improve herself, broke free from the shackles of old ideas, participated in revolutionary work, walked out of the mountains, and became a cadre of the county women's federation. With the help of organizational training and education and colleagues, he went from being a young wife in a remote mountainous area in Jiangxi to finally become the secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Wuhan Street Office. Itโs really a legendary life, how difficult it is!
