Yanshan County CPPCC launched
Hebei-Shandong Border Region Commander Zhou Guanwu, the founding lieutenant general Zhou Guanwu, was the commander and political commissar of the Hebei-Shandong Border Region during the War of Resistance Against Japan, and one of the main leading cadres of the Anti-Japanese Base Area in the Hebei-Shandong Border Region. He made immortal contributions to national independence on the eastern land of Cangzhou . This year, on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Zhou Guanwu's birth, the editor of the Yanshan County CPPCC launched the "Biographies of Zhou Guanwu Paintings", carrying forward the red tradition and recreating the magnificent picture of revolutionary martyrs leading the military and civilian war of resistance in eastern Cangzhou.
According to Lu Shaojun, former vice chairman of the Yanshan County CPPCC, "Biography of Zhou Guanwu Paintings" mainly has four parts: during the domestic revolutionary war, during the War of Resistance Against Japan, during the War of Liberation, during the founding of the People's Republic of China, each part ranges from 4 to 6 chapters, about 60,000 words and 750 frames of photos or pictures, with detailed and vivid content, and the photos and pictures are precious. The painting comprehensively and objectively shows the life of General Zhou Guanwu's glorious battle, and also reflects the journey of the People's Army from small to large, from weak to strong; it not only shows the cruel picture of the struggle against the enemy, but also reflects the warmth of the relationship between the military and the civilians; it not only reflects the spirit of revolutionary heroism, but also highlights the powerful power of the people's war.
Zhou Guanwu (1902-1987) from Ji'an, Jiangxi Province, participated in the revolution in 1926 and participated in the 25,000-mile Long March with illness. In September 1938, with the Eighth Route Army eastward advance of the Anti-Japanese Advance Column, , came to the Hebei-Shandong border with the Eighth Route Army, and served as the Director of the Column Organization Department and the Minister of the Anti-Traitor Department. Later, he served as the commander and political commissar of the Hebei-Shandong border military region and the political commissar of the 7th Division. In the preface to Zhou Guanwu's memoir "The Hard Fighting of Hebei and Shandong Border", General Xiao Hua pointed out: "Comrade Zhou Guanwu, as one of the main leading cadres of the Hebei-Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Area at that time, led his troops to work and fight in the Hebei-Shandong Border Anti-Japanese Base Area for the longest time, from the establishment of the base area to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War." After the main force of the border area (about 17,000 people) evacuated, Zhou Guanwu and the anti-Japanese military and civilians in the border area fought arduous and heroic struggles with several times of the enemy. The main force of the border area grew from 1,600 people to more than 13,000 people; during the War of Liberation, he switched to the battlefields of North China and East China, and made outstanding contributions. After the founding of New China, Zhou Guanwu was awarded the second-level August 1st Medal, the first-level Independence and Freedom Medal, and the first-level Liberation Medal. In 1955, he was awarded the rank of lieutenant general.
