The 23 migrant workers from our Quanshang Brigade ranks, carrying luggage and tools, arrived at the assembly point of the Liangwa Commune Company on time. At 9 a.m., about 300 migrant workers in the company, carrying red flags, drove along the first newly opened road, "Luliang Highway", to Zhao Platform.

Migrant workers have a meal, one company and one canteen. Since the national economy and people's lives have just passed for three consecutive years, the national economy and people's lives are still very difficult, so the living conditions of migrant workers are not very good. The state subsidy for food is part of the food, and a part is brought by itself. The staple food is all wheat and barley and lentils. The water conditions for domestic use are poor, and there is no well here. The drip is to make a small puddle with a diameter of more than 1 meter on the edge of the nearby river, and put a basket inside. Just isolate the debris in the river and drink it.
Work and rest time are unified. Get up at 5:30 in the morning, go out for exercise at 6:00, start eating at 7:00, and line up at 8:00 in the morning. The team is working. The work is over at half past 11. There is a cook at . , and the meal is delivered to the hill about 1 kilometer away from the construction site for dinner. This is because the blasters have to set off fire during the lunch break. For the safety of the migrant workers, all personnel on the construction site must evacuate.
The stone here is hard, and the iron content is high. It requires a vertical shaft about 2 meters deep. After the explosives are installed, the gunners on the construction site can ignite and detonate. The blasting earth and stone can be transported in the afternoon and the morning of the next day.
In those difficult times, people have to change their poor and backward appearance, carry forward the spirit of self-reliance and hard work, and fight on the construction site with strong perseverance and spirit. The red flags fluttered on the construction site, and there were crowds of people. Some dig soil, and some load it on the truck. Two people were car , one pulled and the other pushed, chasing each other, scrambling to the top. The tweeters of the regiment headquarters keep playing music or praise good people and good things to motivate everyone to increase their enthusiasm for labor. The entire group construction site was very lively. Now when recalling this spectacular labor scene, it is like a perfect picture.
In the 1960s, there were no advanced tools and no modern equipment. They all rely on the hands of the working people. In less than three months, they cut off half of the two small hills sitting in the middle of the spillway.
‘Build water conservancy to benefit future generations’ was a loud slogan at that time. Now, "the achievements are forever and the benefits are forever."
The former Zhao platform, today's Zhaoping Lake is like a lake of holy water nourishing Lushan people. The farmland on both sides of the main canal can be drained during drought, ensuring a bumper agricultural harvest. At the same time, it also solved the people's water use problem in several counties in eastern Shandong.
Zhaoping Lake shines like a bright pearl on the earth of Mount Lu.
