【China Anti-Cult Network June 16, 2022, Correspondent: Susan] Like the "Falun Gong" who attaches to Buddhism and heretics, there are many other cult organizations in the world, and they also attach the origin and doctrine of their organizations to some specific organizations or sects in history. On June 7, the U.S. Attorney's official website (Inquisitr.com) published an article, revealed that the infamous cult organization "Sun Temple Cult" was accused of " Templar " in the history of the Communist Party of China, and gradually evolved into a cult that instigated murder and suicide. China Anti-Cult Network is compiled as follows.
"Sun Temple Church" is like a horror movie: dark and mysterious cult, unexplained deaths, horrifying suicides... With the legendary story of the "Knights Templar", the core members of the sect include millionaires, civil servants, policemen, doctors, etc. All of this reminds people of the masterpiece "Eyes Wide Shut" by American director Stanley Kubrick.
But unlike movies, these have actually happened.
"Knights Templar"

"Knights Templar" was originally a Catholic military organization, established in 1119; in 1312, the organization was dissolved by Pope Clement V and remained active during this period. " Templar " wore a white uniform with a large red cross and served as the protector of the pilgrims during the Crusade .
However, most members of the "Knights" did not join the army, but became huge multinational banks and financial giants in Europe. Many legends of the so-called "Templars" having a large amount of gold treasures also originated from this.
After losing the Holy Land ( Jerusalem ), the "Knights Templar" no longer had a glory, so the church officially disbanded the organization. There have been rumors for centuries that the organization is still secretly, probably because some knights have indeed held many secret ceremonies, mainly for new members’ induction.
"Sun Temple Church" revived the ancient legend
In the 1980s, Joseph Di Mambro and Luc Jouret founded the Order of the Solar Temple. They claimed to be inherited from the "Knights Templar" with the purpose of preparing for the second coming of Christ, and called Jesus the "King of the Sun". They declared that they would unite Catholicism with Islam and hoped that spirituality would transcend worldly or earthly desires. They also "draw inspiration" from British mystics Aleister Crowley), who believed in magic and taught "sex magic" to their followers.
"Sun Temple Church" has branches in many countries, including Canada, Australia and Martinique, France (France is located in the overseas provinces of the Caribbean region). The so-called doctrine of the "Sun Temple" actually combines some Catholic ideas and philosophy of UFOs, New Age Movement (Translator's Note: New Age Movement, is a decentralized social phenomenon originating from the Western social and religious movements from 1970 to 1980. The New Age Movement involves a wide range of levels, covering spirituality, mysticism, alternative therapy, and absorbing elements of various religions in the world, as well as environmental protectionism) and Masonic rituals.
Canada and Switzerland murders and suicides
"Sun Temple Church" involved bloodshed began in October 1994 in the murder of infants. At that time, the founder of the organization, Joseph Di Marburro, believed that the son of a believer, Emmanuel Dutoit, was an "anti-Christian" and therefore killed their family. At this time, the "anti-Christian" they said was just 3 months old.

bloodshed incident is much more than that. At the same time, the police found multiple corpses in strange ritual positions in two villages, Cheiry, Quebec, Canada and Salvan, western Switzerland. It was later found that 15 core members of the "Sun Temple Cult" were martyred by martyrs. In addition, another 30 people were shot or suffocated, and eight were killed in other ways. Many of the bodies were found in a secret underground chapel filled with symbolic objects related to the Templars. The corpse was dressed in a traditional robe and was arranged in a circle.
Many victims were drugged before being shot in the head. The remaining victims were found in three ski huts, including several children.
tragedies occurred one after another. The cult leader was at large and was at ease
In December 1995, 16 corpses placed in star formations were found in the mountainous areas of France. The investigation found that two "Sun Temple" believers shot and killed others and committed suicide.
In 1997, five "Sun Temple" believers set fire to themselves in their own house in Quebec . Police then found three teenagers (13, 14 and 16) in a warehouse, all of whom were poisoned but eventually survived.
The famous Swiss musician and conductor Michel Tabachnik was arrested in the late 1990s for serving as the leader of the cult. Despite being charged for “participating in criminal organizations” and murder, he was acquitted in 2001 and 2006, and his wife is one of the victims of the cult.

Does the "Sun Temple Sect" still exist?
In the 1990s, most core members of the organization were either killed or committed suicide. It is generally believed that the "Sun Temple Sect" no longer exists. However, with the release of key figure Michel Tabanik and the fact that multiple "New Templars" groups around the world are still active, it is difficult to conclude that the "Sun Temple Church" has really disappeared forever.
