Cai E in youth
Hello everyone, I am Lantai.
Today, Lantai will introduce to you the descendants of Cai E, the "God of the National Protection Army".
Lantai always thinks that General Cai E is a typical historical celebrity who "deads his own life". If he died a few years later, his historical evaluation might be different.
This is not alarmist, but fact.
At the last moment of his military career, Cai E could no longer control his Yunnan army.
In his letter to his friend, Cai E complained that his Yunnan army had completely disobeyed his orders:
Dian Army The soldiers were arrogant and fierce, and their discipline and temperament were far from the comparison of several years ago and were no longer available. ...They almost stopped obeying my orders at this moment. I originally wanted to recommend Yin Shuhuan (Yin Chengyan) to replace me, and Luo Rongxuan ( Luo Peijin ) held the military talisman in his hand, so he had to give it to him.
If Cai E is in better health, then he is really likely to be expelled by the Yunnan soldiers under his command. In that case, Cai E's historical evaluation will definitely be reduced.
So, for historical celebrities, "died to the right place" is actually a blessing.
Cai E has a total of one wife and one concubine. Yes, Cai E does not have two wives, but one wife and one concubine. Don’t make any mistakes.
The famous Xiao Fengxian actually has nothing to do with Cai E.
Cai E's family photo, Pan Huiying on the left, and Liu Xiazhen on the right,
Don't believe that Cai E's wife Liu Xiazhen has a good relationship with her concubine Pan Huiying. Historical materials have proved that their relationship is not good at all.
After Cai E's death, Liu Xiazhen and Cai E's mother lived in No. 1 Zhangshu Garden, Swantang, Changsha, Hunan, while Pan Huiying had always lived in Kunming. Even Cai E's deputy Tang Jiyao did not know that Pan Huiying was Cai E's concubine at that time.
Pan Huiying was married to Cai E when he was the governor of Yunnan, and Liu Xiazhen and Pan Huiying lived together during the period when Cai E worked in Beijing. From the current information, the two have no intersection after leaving Beijing.
However, in terms of relationships, Cai E obviously loves Pan Huiying more, because Cai E was funded by the Liu family to study and study abroad, so marrying Liu Xiazhen after returning to China was equivalent to completing a contract; and Pan Huiying was Cai E’s own choice.
On the left is Cai Yongning, the second son of General Cai E, and the third son of General Cai E, Cai Duan, the eldest son of General Cai E,
01,
Cai E and his original wife Liu Xiazhen had three daughters, but unfortunately only the eldest daughter Cai Zhulian grew up; however, Cai E handed over his eldest son, Cai Duan, born to Pan Huiying, to Liu Xiazhen, and Cai Duan was raised by Liu Xiazhen.
Cai Zhulian married Cai E's friend Shi Taojun's eldest son Shi Chaobai.
Shi Taojun is not only a friend of Cai E, but also a fellow villager of Cai E. He is also a close friend of Huang Xing . If Huang Xing hadn't died early, Shi Taojun's future would be limitless.
After Cai Zhulian and Shi Chaobai got married, the couple went to Japan to study together. According to what Cai Duan later said, the Cai family's family's decline, Cai Zhulian's study abroad cost should be the money paid by the Shi family.
Cai E's former residence
After that, Cai Zhulian became Shi Chaobai's virtuous support, and Shi Chaobai became a diplomat of the Republic of China government, and has successively conducted missions to Germany, France, Sweden, , Sweden, Japan and other countries.
1964, Shi Chaobai died of a sudden cerebral hemorrhage in Osaka, Japan. Cai Zhulian chose to go to the United States to rely on his eldest daughter Shi Yuli; currently Cai Zhulian's children all live in the United States.
Although Cai E's eldest son Cai Duan was born to Pan Huiying, he was raised by Liu Xiazhen. Liu Xiazhen once tried Cai Duan and wanted to go to Yunnan to find his mother. Cai Duan immediately said, "It is better to raise grace than to have kindness."
Cai Duan has been smart since childhood and his grades have always been among the best. Because he wanted to know his father so much, when he was admitted to Fu Ren University, he chose the Department of History. He once said to his adoptive mother: Knowing history can be wise, and only wise can save the country.
Cai Duan entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China after graduating from university. I think his brother-in-law Shi Chaobai should have helped some.
Cai Duan always demanded that Cai E's eldest son behaved, and he wanted to spread the branches and leaves for the Cai family. Unexpectedly, he gave birth to five daughters in a row, which made Cai Duan very depressed. It was his biological mother Pan Huiying who later comforted him, saying that his younger brother already had a son and the Cai family had a descendant.
After the founding of New China, Cai Duan left the diplomatic system and transferred to " Guangming Daily " as an editor, and later transferred to the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference's Literature and History Office.
Cai Duan is a member of the 6th, 7th and 8th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and is also a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference's Literature and History Materials Committee. In 1997, Cai Duan died of illness in Beijing at the age of 84.
Cai Duan has a total of five daughters. In addition to his eldest daughter Cai Anci settling in Japan, his second daughter was assigned to work in Baotou, Inner Mongolia after graduating from university, and later settled in Baotou. She was also a member of the Inner Mongolia Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; the fourth daughter Cai Aici died in 2010 at the age of 67; the third daughter Cai Weici and the fifth daughter Cai Shunci both settled in Beijing, both ordinary teachers.
Cai Shulian and her husband Zhou Jiachi
02,
General Cai E and his concubine Pan Huiying had a daughter and two sons.
My daughter is Cai Shulian, born in 1912. Her husband is her college classmate Zhou Jiachi, a famous Chinese plant virologist.
Cai Shulian and Zhou Jiachi's marriage is very similar to the story of Wang Baochuan and Xue Rengui in the play.
Cai Shulian waited for Zhou Jiachi since 1932, and waited until Zhou Jiachi returned to China to teach at Tsinghua in 1949, and the two got married; it was only 18 years less than Wang Baochuan and Xue Rengui.
Zhou Jiachi later became the deputy director of Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was also the founder of China's first plant virus research room.
1998, 87-year-old Zhou Jiachi died of illness; in 2001, 89-year-old Cai Shulian died of illness in Beijing.
Cai Shulian and Zhou Jiachi have two daughters, the eldest daughter Zhou Yin and the second daughter Zhou Yi. Both are currently retired teachers at Peking University .
General Cai E's second son is Cai Yongning. Like his older brother Cai Duan, both graduated from Fu Ren University. After graduating from university, Cai Yongning went to Yunnan Fudian Bank to work.
After the founding of New China, because of the arrangement of Marshal Zhu De, Cai E and his family went to Beijing to live. According to Cai Yongning's personal wishes, Cai Yongning was arranged to meet a teacher at Northeast Renmin University. Later, because his mother Pan Huiying needed care, he was transferred back to Beijing, and first worked as a clerk in the Education Department of the State Sports Commission. In 1956, he was transferred to work at Beijing Sports University.
1968, Cai Yongning died for some reason at the age of 52.
General Cai E's eldest grandson Cai Xie
Cai Yongning has two sons and two daughters, the eldest son Cai Xie, the eldest grandson of General Cai E. After graduating from Beijing Institute of Chemical Engineering in 1970, he was assigned to work at the Jilin Branch of China Petroleum Company. He worked in Jilin until his retirement, and Cai Xie was also a member of Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Cai Xie's sisters are Cai Ci and Cai Qun, and her younger brother is Cai Qi.
Cai Xie’s sisters and brothers are relatively low-key, but they still often participate in commemorative activities of grandfather Cai E. In 2008, Cai Ci and his wife also went to Kunming to have a party with relatives and friends. The manuscript of the famous historical documentary "A Centenary of Martial Arts Lecture: Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Yunnan Army Military Lecture Hall" was also reviewed by Cai Ci and Zhou Yin, and the two also provided a lot of exclusive historical materials for the documentary.
Xiao Fengxian, who are now PS, and Cai E,
03,
Finally, let’s talk about the “confidant” of General Cai E, who is rumored online.
In fact, Lantai has written articles specifically about Xiaofengxian. If you are interested, you can click the link below to read:
Here Lantai briefly introduces it. According to the research of historians, Cai E did not have any special feelings for Xiaofengxian, but just regarded Xiaofengxian as a "tool person" who confused Yuan Shikai . Although Cai E spent 1,000 oceans to help Xiaofengxian redeem himself, Xiaofengxian did not live in Cai E's home in Beijing, but remained in the brothel.
When Cai E left Beijing and returned to Yunnan, Xiao Fengxian was completely unaware of it.
In fact, according to Cai E's mentor Liang Qichao's recollection, Cai E's plan to run away did not even tell his favorite concubine, so that Cai E left Beijing for several days. Cai E's concubine Pan Huiying thought Cai E was "crazy" when she went out, so she went to Liang Qichao's house to find someone:
Mr. Cai left, and his family was completely unaware of it, so she called me every day to ask me for someone, so I had to stammer with something else.
According to Sheng Hong, a professor of History Department of Nanjing Normal University, after Cai E's death, Xiao Fengxian married a division commander named Liang as the fourth concubine with the accumulated fame. He also moved from Beijing to Shenyang.
. This division commander later joined the pseudo-Manchukuo, and was liquidated after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. Xiao Fengxian left and married a chef named Chen, and the two had no children.
After the founding of New China, the two lived a very difficult life, and Xiao Fengxian also had to work as a nanny for others to supplement their family income. Xiao Fengxian found out by chance that Mei Lanfang went to Shenyang to contact Mei Lanfang and asked Mei Lanfang for help; later after Mei Lanfang asked someone, Xiao Fengxian was arranged to work as a nurseryman in a school in Shenyang.
1976, 76-year-old Xiao Fengxian died of a sudden cerebral hemorrhage at her home in Shenyang.
or above is the situation of Cai E's descendants and Xiao Fengxian. If you have any questions to discuss, please leave a message in the comment area.
