It is said that more than 800 years ago, in the twenty-fourth year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1154 AD), the squires argued fiercely because of the choice of a place to build the city. Some people advocated building a city in Shiqi (called Wenshun Township at the time), and some people advocated building a city in Kuchong and Zhongshan Sanxiang Town Yongmo. There was a lot of discussion and could not be resolved for a while. At that time, the Chen Tianjue Jinshi, who was in charge of building the city, was based in Shiqi, so Yili advocated building the city in Shiqi. The parties finally negotiated to adopt a method called soil for comparison, that is, in a pile of soil of the same volume, the heavier soil is more expensive, whichever means solid. When taking soil from various places, Chen Tianjue secretly mixed a little iron sand into Shiqi's soil without knowing it. As a result, it was said that Shiqi had the heaviest soil.
