In April 1942, the anti-British sentiment of the masses in India was rising and the Japanese aggressors approached India. Gandhi put forward the British slogan "Quit India", and successively launched the third non-cooperative movement from 1940 to 1941 and prepared to launch the fourth non-cooperative movement, both of which were suppressed by the British. But before and after the end of World War II, the British They compromised.
