They felt extremely proud and excited, because they finally made the motherland proud of themselves, and at the same time made the world proud of China. In fact, many people don't understand how the five-star red flag comes from?

When New China was founded many years ago, an important problem was placed in front of us, that is, what kind of flag we should choose as our national flag. As we all know, the national flag is very important to a country. Importantly, it shows the spiritual core and spiritual outlook of this country.
After a long period of design and selection, more than two thousand manuscripts were placed in front of the judges. Among the designers of these flags are poor farmers and famous designers.
They come from different classes, different families, and different industries from all over the world, but they all share their respect and love for China and concern for the design of the national flag.

After the judges discussed and screened numerous manuscripts, three excellent design works were selected, and those design manuscripts that were eliminated can still be seen in the museum today. Of these three works, which one will become the national flag of our country? Everyone also had a lively discussion on this matter.
The final choice
The number one manuscript is No. 3.The number of votes was as high as 185. The national flag painted on it is very similar to the current national flag. Both colors are red and yellow. The national flag uses red as the background color, and a large yellow one is painted in the upper left corner. Five-pointed star, and there is a yellow horizontal line in the lower part of the national flag.
According to the author, the horizontal line in the middle symbolizes the Yellow River. As we all know, the Yellow River is the mother river of China. This design draft has been recognized by many people. Everyone thinks the flag design is very atmospheric. Very much in line with the spirit of our country.

But at this time someone raised an objection that the horizontal line divides the national flag into two. In fact, the meaning of division is not very good, so this work was also eliminated.
The second-placed work No. 4 is very different from the design of the first place. He also uses red as the base color, and paints the upper quarter of the flag as yellow, and paints the yellow part. It is a red five-pointed star, and there are not a few people who support this work, but the implied meaning of the first banner has not been properly resolved.
After several debates, no one has chosen a satisfactory work, but the time for submission is getting closer and everyone is anxious.

At this time, the No. 32 work with only 15 votes entered people's field of vision. Before, people focused their attention on the first two works, and did not pay too much attention to the low-voted No. 32 work, but at this anxious moment, one of the judges thought of the No. 32 work and thought it had a very meaningful meaning. good. After his proposal and the judges' understanding, everyone voted for the No. 32 work one after another.
This work is actually our current five-star red flag, but there are some differences between the original design and the present. The entire background color of the original design is based on red, and four stars surround a large five-pointed star. The inside of the big five-pointed star is painted with a sickle and a hammer symbolizing socialism.
The flag of the former Soviet Union also uses a sickle, a hammer and a five-star red flag as elements of the national flag. We still use this method today. Is the similarity too great?
