BeryL: I am very happy to be able to defeat defending champion EDG and advance to the semi-finals.
Q: You also set the record of the LCK No. 4 seed reaching the semi-finals of the S match for the first time. What do you want to say?
BeryL: Although it is good to set the record, to be honest, when playing the first two games, I don’t think we will lose.
Q: After the group stage, there was a long time to prepare for the quarterfinals. How did you prepare?
BeryL: We improved our shortcomings through training competitions. We had some shortcomings in the early stage, and then we improved them with this as the focus.
Q: Your opponent in the bottom lane combination is Viper&Meiko. How do you build a bottom lane game before the game?
BeryL: The first game to the fourth game should be the first game between the opponent, so we really benefited from it.
Q: You chose Hemerdinger today. So when you cooperate with Hemerdinger, what is the difference between Ashe and EZ?
BeryL: If the time is right, I plan to always use Hemerdinger, but as I use it more and more, I think this hero seems not very good. Ashe has strong laning and opportunity finding skills, and it is very important to use E to confirm the opponent's jungler's position in the early stage. Although EZ is weak in laning, we think EZ has the potential to play in the late stage, so we chose EZ.
Q: How does the team communicate after losing the first and second games?
BeryL: We did not pay much attention to Xiaolong in the first two games, and did not make any profit in this part, so we reviewed it with this as the focus.
Q: How did you feel when the second game of stealing the house failed?
BeryL: I was in a complicated mood at that time. We had always had advantages but made many mistakes, so I thought of the classic stealing family in the European LEC region, and the opportunity was also very good at that time, but there were mistakes in this process, which was a pity that I failed to get what I wanted.
Q: In the fourth game, you chose Ashe assist. Is this the hero you prepared before the game?
BeryL: I have talked about this hero a little bit just now. Ashe is better than I expected, so I chose it.
Q: This is the last game in the quarterfinals. You should have watched the previous game. Which game was the most impressive one?
BeryL: The match between DK and GEN is very interesting. Even from the perspective of the players, the match was very eye-catching, and our match was similar to the match between DK and GEN. There were epic scenes such as stealing homes. Fans should also think our match was very interesting.
Q: The performance of the bottom lane combination of Lucian & Nami has declined recently. What do you think?
BeryL: Each team may have a different view of the "Luna" combination, because Viper players performed the best in EDG, so we restrained his Lucian, and they also won the championship with "Luna" last year, so we banned it.
Q: Next you are going to fight the "LCK civil war". You will fight GEN. What is your determination?
BeryL: This may not be good for GEN, but the teams that played BO5 with DK this year lost the next game. There is indeed such a "curse". GEN defeated DK in the spring season and lost to T1. After defeating DK in the summer season, he lost to GEN in the finals. KT and LSB also lost to us in the bubble match, so this "curse" has been continuing. I want to use this "curse" to defeat GEN.
Q: "LCK Civil War" should not be easy. What will you focus on to target GEN?
BeryL: To be honest, after watching the quarter-finals, I think it is impossible for all five contestants to perform perfectly on such a big stage. I think the Peanut player is the core of GEN, so we will target him, and although we are at a disadvantage when facing GEN this year, we will strive for a victory in the game anyway.
Q: The semi-finals of JDG and T1 were preceded by you. Which team do you think will win?
BeryL: To be honest, from the team's laning strength, T1 is much stronger. JDG is not a team with strong laning strength within the LPL, but JDG is very good at playing games, so he won the championship. To be honest, I don't know which side will win. Although T1 is very strong, as long as you play in the late stage, JDG will have many unpredictable tricks, so I really don’t know who will win.
Q: What do you want to say to your fans in the end?
BeryL: We successfully advanced to the semi-finals with a score that is not often seen like two and three. Now there is still one week left before the semi-finals. We will adjust our state and play the semi-finals well!
