(The post-match interview part of BeryL and Kingen is translated as follows)
Q: First of all, let’s ask Kingen players, how do you feel when you participated in the World Championship final for the first time?
Kingen: Before sharing my feelings about victory, I would like to express my condolences to all the victims and their families in the Itaewon stampede two days ago. I hope all victims can rest and their families can be at peace.
In every game we have, we do feel the pressure of the game, but we always play with the mentality of having nothing to lose, which helped us play well today.
Q: I would like to ask BeryL players, this is your third consecutive World Championship final. How do you feel about this?
BeryL: I am very happy to have the same record as legendary players Faker, Bang, and Wolf to reach the finals of the World Championship.
Q: Many people expect GEN to win, but DRX successfully achieved one and three after losing the first game! Before today, DRX lost 13 consecutive losses against GEN. What do you think?
Kingen: Our journey to the World Championship is very magical. Along the way, teammates trust each other more and more, and teamwork is closer. Because of this, the previous losing streak did not put us pressure.
Q: Although DRX lost the first game, many fans cheered and cheered for DRX. How do you feel when you hear the shouts of "Come on DRX" in the crowd?
BeryL: I was focusing on the design of our second game, so to be honest I don't know if they were cheering for us or GEN. Now I know, if I knew it then, I would have felt great.
Q: Today DRX performed much better than GEN on the road. How did you stay in shape in the semi-finals?
Kingen: The team has a strong confidence in advancing to the finals, and the mentality of "enjoying the victory in the moment" is very effective for us. Our experience is radiating from the bottom lane to the upper half, and our coaching team has good leadership skills, which makes our team more united.
BeryL: Our training has not been that good recently, but once we go on stage, we will trust each other and play our role. Our summer season regular season was not going well and we only got to this point after a series of trials, so even if we lost in the finals, we were still second in the world, so I would be very happy anyway.
Q: There are many stories behind the Deft player. As the person closest to him, can you share some of his mental journey? What do you want to say to him?
BeryL: I believe this is the same for every player, but Deft has an incredible desire for victory. Many people say this is Deft's "Last Dance" and this dance should last until the end, I think we finished 95% of his "Last Dance".
Kingen: I have learned a lot from Deft. As he said in the interview, rather than being obsessed with the results, living in the present is the most important thing, and creating many such moments is interesting, which is a very cool mentality. We wouldn't have been where we are today without Deft, and I would love to help him bring the championship trophy home.
Q: From the first "LCK derby" five years ago to the current "Deft vs Faker" showdown (Deft vs Faker), this year's final has many highlights. So what's your mentality after you advance to the final?
Kingen: I believe our team will overcome all difficulties and achieve what others think is impossible, and I will prove this on the stage of the finals. We will make sure to play all the way and enjoy it until the last moment.
BeryL: T1 is our last level in this World Championship. They performed very strongly against JDG. However, in other recent e-sports competitions, the disadvantaged team finally brought the trophy home. As the unpopular side, we will also ensure that we will succeed in taking the last step!
