It's been a long time coming, but there's finally positive progress on Halo Infinite's campaign co-op mode.
Testing of the campaign’s co-op mode will begin on July 11th and end on the 22nd.
343 Industries' principal software engineering lead Isaac Bender and lead game world designer John Mulkey also provided more insight into the game's upcoming co-op mode.
"One of our core principles is that we don't want to require you to have just a single save slot for co-op. Of course, you can use a separate save slot for co-op if you want, but we want to give players the option to Cooperative progress counts toward your 'main' game, if you want to play that way," Bender explained.
"We also want everyone's progress to count towards their own save, regardless of who is the captain. I've played a lot of co-op games where 'player 2's' progress basically doesn't count, which I've always found frustrating. "The goal is to 'let everyone play their campaign together,'"
