On the morning of December 1, the "Taste Qingdao·2020 International Food Carnival" which lasted for more than seven months ended perfectly at Xinfusheng Liji Hotel. In addition to the relevant awards ceremony, the finals of the China-Japan-Korea-Thailand Cooking Competition attracted 12 people Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Thai chefs showed off their cooking skills on the spot, bringing a collision of vision and taste buds to the public.

It is reported that this year’s Food Carnival will focus on "Qingdao Food", including several sections such as the Taste of Qingdao·Hundred Kitchens' Famous Chefs Selection, China, Japan, Korea and Thailand Cooking Competition. Hundreds of catering companies participated. The organizers shot promotional videos and voted online for the shortlisted catering companies from the perspectives of business environment, chef demeanor and dish characteristics. More than 700,000 people participated in the vote. After comprehensive evaluation by experts, media reviews and online voting, 101 catering companies were finally selected as "Top 100 Food and Beverage Stores", 110 chefs were selected as "Qingdao Famous Chefs", and 101 dishes were selected as "Top 100 Famous Products". Luan Jian, Director of the Commercial Service and Consumption Promotion Division of Qingdao Bureau of Commerce, said that the participating companies in this food carnival include both high-end restaurants and Qingdao special snacks, meeting the needs of all social classes for food. Luan Jian revealed that since the beginning of this year, Qingdao's consumer market has continued to rebound steadily through the "combination punch" of spreading catering culture, promoting consumption, and stabilizing growth. The catering industry has maintained a recovery trend. In October, the turnover of catering companies in our city has increased. 2.2%, maintaining positive growth for two consecutive months.
