Since the first 30 years of reform and opening up , coastal areas with location and industrial advantages have always been the focus of my country's economic and social development, which is the so-called "eastern development first". In the past ten years, although the central and western regions have developed rapidly, the gap between them and the eastern regions is still huge, and the phenomenon of uneven regional economic development is very obvious.
"One flower blooming alone is not spring, but a hundred flowers blooming together fill the garden." Only common prosperity can a country become truly prosperous and strong! Therefore, in order to promote balanced and coordinated development of regional economies, the country will focus on developing three economic belts in the future, building a national development pattern of "one vertical and two horizontal", narrowing the gap between regional rich and poor, and achieving comprehensive development between regions!

Eastern coastal area 3
Coastal Economic Belt
Coastal Economic Belt, the "one vertical" in my country's "one vertical and two horizontal" development pattern, is not only the frontier of my country's reform and opening up, but also the highland of my country's economic development and the first region to become wealthy in my country. In the national economic development pattern, it plays a radiating and leading role and has important strategic significance!

Beijing
The coastal economic belt includes Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong from north to south, including the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration, the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, the Guangdong-Fujian-Zhejiang coastal urban agglomeration and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and other national city agglomerations. The main cities in the coastal economic belt include Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Qingdao , Jinan, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou , Ningbo , Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan and Foshan and other trillion-dollar clubs.
The coastal economic belt occupies the vast majority of my country's port resources. It is the area with the densest manufacturing, population and urban distribution in my country. It is also the area with the highest development level and quality of development in my country. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the coastal economic belt are the most economically developed regions in my country. They have become growth poles that radiate and lead the national economic development and play the role of the main skeleton in the "one vertical and two horizontal" development pattern.

Yangtze River Economic Belt
Yangtze River Economic Belt
Yangtze River Economic Belt, the "one horizontal" in my country's "one vertical and two horizontal" development pattern, was once an important part of the "T" development framework. The Yangtze River Economic Belt connects 11 provinces and municipalities in the eastern, central and western regions from east to west, covering an area of more than 20% of the country. The permanent population and total economic output are close to half of the country. The level of economic development in our country is second only to the coastal areas, and it is one of the most dynamic and development potential regions in the country.

The city agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River
The Yangtze River Economic Belt includes the Yangtze River Delta city agglomeration, the city agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and Chengdu from east to west. Chongqing urban agglomeration , central Guizhou urban agglomeration and central Guizhou urban agglomeration, among which the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration and the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration have entered the first echelon of urban agglomerations in my country and have gradually become the growth pole of the regional economy and have begun to play an active role in the coordinated development of the regional economy.
The main cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt include Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Ningbo, Wuxi, Nantong, Hefei, Wuhan, Changsha, Nanchang, Chongqing, Chengdu, Guiyang and Kunming, accounting for half of the country's trillion-dollar club cities and megacities. Therefore, the Yangtze River Economic Belt is at the forefront of my country's regions in terms of economic strength and urbanization level. It is the backbone connecting the eastern, central and western regions, and has an irreplaceable position and role in the national strategic development pattern.

Yellow River Basin
Yellow River Economic Belt
Ten years ago, Chinese experts proposed a "T" shaped development pattern, which consists of coastal economic belt + Yangtze River Economic Belt. In recent years, as the ecological environment protection and economic and social development of the Yellow River Basin have received more and more attention, the development of the Yellow River Economic Belt has gradually come into everyone's sight and has become the focus of people's attention.
With the promulgation of the national strategy "Ecological Environmental Protection and High-Quality Development of the Yellow River Basin", the Yellow River Economic Belt has officially entered the national development strategy, and the original "T"-shaped development pattern has also become a "one vertical and two horizontal" development pattern. As the "one horizontal" part of the national "one vertical and two horizontal" development pattern, the Yellow River Economic Belt echoes the Yangtze River Economic Belt in the south and north, and links with the coastal economic belt, jointly supporting my country's grand strategy of coordinated regional economic development.

Central Plains urban agglomeration
The Yellow River Economic Belt includes Shandong, Henan, Shanxi, Nine provinces and municipalities including Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Sichuan, Gansu and Qinghai are connected to the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration, Central Plains urban agglomeration, Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration , Lanxi urban agglomeration, central Shanxi urban agglomeration, Hohhot, Baotou and Yu city agglomerations and Ningxia Yanhuang urban agglomeration. The main cities along the Yellow River Economic Belt include Jinan, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Lanzhou, Xining, Taiyuan, Yinchuan and Hohhot.
The Yellow River Economic Belt has three lines, one main and two auxiliary lines. The main line is from Qingdao, Jinan, Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Lanzhou and other places to Xining; the first auxiliary line is from Zhengzhou, Taiyuan to Hohhot, and the second auxiliary line is from Jinan, Taiyuan to Ningxia. Together, they will form a large framework for the coordinated economic development of the Yellow River Economic Belt.

The national "one vertical and two horizontal" development pattern
As an important part of the national "one vertical and two horizontal" development pattern, the Yellow River Economic Belt will use the central city as a support point to promote cross-provincial and cross-regional cooperation between urban agglomerations and provinces and municipalities, strengthen the division of labor and collaboration in areas such as transportation infrastructure, industrial development, and ecological environment protection, and promote the coordinated economic and social development of the Yellow River Basin.
recommends the establishment of national central city in Shandong Province
In the national "one vertical and two horizontal" development pattern, Greater Shanghai is the connection point between the coastal economic belt and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, becoming a bridge and link for cross-regional cooperation between the two economic belts, and playing a leading role as a leading city in the coordinated development of the regional economy.

Qingdao
In the Yellow River Economic Belt, the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration occupies a strategic position similar to that of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, and is at the connection point between the Yellow River Economic Belt and the Coastal Economic Belt. However, the urban agglomeration of the Shandong Peninsula does not yet have a national central city, which is not conducive for the central city to undertake major national strategies and play the role of a leading city in the coordinated development of the regional economy. Therefore, it is recommended to establish a national central city in Shandong Province, either Jinan or Qingdao, so as to play a strategic role as a leading city in the coordinated development of the national economy.
