Second, Jiangsu's manufacturing industry has developed very prominently in the past three years. In 2021, Jiangsu's manufacturing added value exceeded 4.2 trillion, officially surpassing Guangdong and becoming China's largest manufacturing province. In the early days of reform and opening up , the country gave priority to the development of Guangdong Province. Guangdong's manufacturing industry has long had an advantage, but last year, Guangdong's advantage was officially changed. Manufacturing is an important symbol of a region's economic competitiveness and comprehensive strength. The scale of Jiangsu's manufacturing industry surpasses that of Guangdong, which means that Jiangsu's comprehensive strength has initially caught up with Guangdong.
Third, Jiangsu’s advanced manufacturing cluster has made remarkable achievements in the past three years. There are a total of 45 national-level advanced manufacturing clusters across the country, 10 of which are from Jiangsu. Jiangsu is also the only province in the country with more than ten national-level advanced manufacturing clusters. In the past three years, Jiangsu has vigorously prioritized the development of advanced manufacturing clusters. In industries such as nanotechnology, Internet of Things, high-end textiles, biomedicine, and offshore engineering equipment, it has reached leading levels at home and abroad.
