Among them, 11,718 have senior professional titles, accounting for 6.5%; 22,886 have intermediate professional titles, accounting for 12.6%.

There are 2,431 intangible cultural heritage protection institutions across the country, with 16,554 employees. Throughout the year, various intangible cultural heritage protection institutions across the country held 59,716 performances, an increase of 6.4% over the previous year; held 13,116 folk activities, an increase of 7.7%; and held 18,107 exhibitions, an increase of 12.0%.
In addition, at the end of 2021, there were 43,531 mass cultural institutions across the country, 156 fewer than the end of the previous year. Among them, there are 332,524 township comprehensive cultural stations, a decrease of 301. At the end of the year, there were 190,007 employees in mass cultural institutions across the country, an increase of 4,931 from the end of the previous year. Among them, 7,531 people have senior professional titles, accounting for 4.0%; 17,947 people have intermediate professional titles, accounting for 9.4%.
