Blancpain Blancpain follows the New Year tradition created by the brand in 2012 and launches a new classic V series Chinese calendar limited edition watch. The new watch is made of platinum and is limited to 50 pieces. The dial presents the unique display functions of the Chinese calendar such as the zodiac signs, lunar calendar, twelve hours, and the five elements of the zodiac. The oscillating weight is also engraved with a pair of lifelike rabbit patterns.

The Chinese Annual Calendar is a landmark star work that Blancpain exclusively developed over a period of five and a half years. Its level of sophistication and complexity is comparable to the perpetual calendar watch, one of the most representative complex functions in the field of fine watchmaking. Even in Blancpain's Le Brassus grand complex watchmaking workshop, the birthplace of this watch, only a few Swiss national treasure-level watchmakers can control it. The
Chinese almanac unlocks "China's unique time rules" and perfectly combines the traditional Chinese lunar calendar (a lunisolar calendar) with the Gregorian calendar (i.e. the Gregorian calendar). For the first time, the two sets of Chinese and Western time rules operate on the same "core", providing oriental culture enthusiasts around the world with a pure way to watch Chinese time, and truly "letting the world watch Chinese time." The
watch uses a warm white grand feu enamel dial, inlaid with gold waisted Roman numerals scales, and is indicated by an elegant hollow willow leaf needle; while the standard Gregorian calendar date drawn in enamel is indicated by a classic blue steel snake-shaped pointer. Important information of the Chinese calendar such as hours, days of the week, months (including leap months ), twelve zodiac signs, five elements and heavenly stems are also presented in the form of enamel drawings. The moon phase display, a complex function that was revived by Blancpain in the early 1980s and returned to the forefront of the watchmaking industry, is also reflected in this timepiece. The moon phase is not only an important part of the brand's full calendar watch, but also closely related to the monthly dates in the Chinese calendar timing rules.
The new Chinese Almanac Limited Edition "Bao Rabbit" watch perfectly inherits the iconic aesthetics of the classic V series, with a 45 mm diameter "Classic Double Circle" case made of platinum. The watch is also equipped with Blancpain's famous hidden adjuster placed under the lug, which can be easily adjusted with the touch of a finger. Through the sapphire glass case back, the watch is equipped with the 3638 self-winding movement with excellent performance, and you can have a panoramic view of the beauty of the movement. The gold oscillating weight is engraved with the rabbit pattern of the Lunar New Year's zodiac: one male and one female, two rabbits are elegant, alert and agile, highlighting the two themes of "gentleness" and "trust".
