Do you think it is easy to distinguish between English adjective subject pronouns and noun pronouns ? No, I don't think so.
In the teaching process, we often don’t know how to deal with it because students raise some seemingly "simple" questions. Even as professional teachers, it is sometimes difficult for all students to understand the simplest grammar point in English grammar. However, in fact, in order to enable students to better distinguish and master personal pronouns, the relationship between adjective subject pronouns and noun pronouns is not that easy.
Among them, the most important point is how teachers can view this issue from the perspective of students. Although this issue has been understood by most students, it is always not that easy to let students understand and master a "simple" grammar knowledge point better, faster and more efficiently.
It may be in the eyes of experienced students and teachers that a certain grammar point may not require in-depth analysis and digging into the ins and outs of it, but for some students who like to dig into the bottom line or are stubborn, this teaching method is disastrous. This shows that teachers still have great shortcomings in their own professionalism, as well as in psychology and teaching methods.
Take the English grammar point of "noun pronoun" as an example. Most teachers will only tell students that this is just a concept. It is usually used to put it in the English structure of the noun. However, many teachers avoid talking about the interpretation and differences between English thinking and Chinese thinking. What's more, they directly use textbooks to read the textbooks in a comprehensive way rather than giving in-depth and easy-to-understand explanations and explanations from the fundamental and underlying logic of the language.
Some students even have the definition of "pronoun" in Chinese, let alone compare learning and research in English. Not to mention the various illogical and messy parts of the English grammar.
For example, why are the noun pronouns corresponding to My, His and Its different from other adjective pronouns? Why is Mine not Mis? Why do His and Its look exactly the same as their adjective subject pronouns? Many teachers actually don’t know that students will feel very confused after encountering this situation. If -s is added directly to the noun pronoun like your, it will be easier to learn and memorize the changing rules of other personal pronouns. But English and other languages are not so rigorous and logical.
In fact, this is just the unscientific part of the grammar of English, but we never doubt it.
If we cannot change some unreasonable rules, then as teachers, we should settle for the second best and find ways to help students master and understand these knowledge points faster and better. The following is a summary of my experience on this knowledge
