This is the second time I took the postgraduate examination this year. I applied for the education major of Hubei University. Last year, I applied for the Central China Normal University education major. Huazhong Normal University is a very difficult postgraduate entrance examination for 211 universities. I was 17 points away from the national line. I passed professional courses and politics, but I died in English. Actually, I checked online. As a well-established second university, Hubei University is still a little behind China Normal University, but the education major I applied for is still pretty good among schools of the same level!
During World War II, the pressure was often high, and the desire to go ashore was very urgent. Fortunately, there was no pressure on me at home. I started preparing for the exam in June. Because I still had to go to work, I couldn't read books and memorize words every day. However, I studied at least 5 days a week. In November and December, I specifically applied for a leave of absence from my job with the company, and prepared for the exam wholeheartedly. The hardship and pressure of studying may only be understood by those who have taken the exam.
It is said that unforeseen circumstances can happen. Many people did not expect such a situation in this year's postgraduate examination.
The reason for the increase in the absentee rate is probably because many people are "yang".
The examination room is divided into "yin and yang examination rooms". This situation should not have happened in decades. Even during the three years of the epidemic, there were no yin and yang examination rooms in the previous two years, right? There is no such thing as this year where a large area has a high fever and a separate examination room is set up, right?
For example, in Wuhan, epidemic control was relaxed in the second week of December, only 2 weeks before the postgraduate examination, which is on December 24-25. In other words, during the postgraduate examination period, it happened to be the peak period of the first wave of "yang".
I don’t know whether there are hundreds of thousands or millions of people in this city who are "yang". Anyway, I was infected by the virus after not leaving the house for more than 20 days. I was "yang" before the exam. The two days of the exam were the third and fourth days of "yang". I endured the symptoms of high fever, sore throat, and cough and entered the "yang world" examination room.
A lot of coughing could be heard from the crowd accompanying the exam outside the exam room; one seat in the exam room was empty, and the sound of coughing and sneezing never stopped, which was harsher than the sound of the invigilator's leather shoes during the first exam; the first subject was politics, followed by English in the afternoon. I took a special look and found that there seemed to be a few fewer people in the exam room than in the morning, and even fewer the next day. Including the two invigilators, there were only about 10 people left.
The absentee rate this year seems to be terrifying!
Although the absentee rate has increased in previous years, I don’t think the admission scores will decrease. There are several reasons why

1: The number of applicants for this year has increased by 170,000 compared to last year. With such a huge growth figure, how likely is it that the score line will drop?
The official number of applicants this year was 4.74 million, the number of applicants in 2021 was 3.77 million, and the number of applicants in 2020 was 3.41 million. You can see that the number of applicants in the past three years has increased by 10%-20% every year.
2: The national level of has been getting higher year by year in the past five years, so even though there are more people absent from the exam, I think the score will not drop.

In a short period of time, hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of people became infected. It was impossible to prevent it. Many people went to the exam with high fevers and coughs, including me.
Everyone just saw that there were many empty seats in the examination room. The person with the empty seat was temporarily arranged to go to the "Yang examination room"; or it may be that it was positive during the statistics, but turned negative again during the exam, and it was possible that he was arranged to go to the "Yin examination room"; there is another possibility for the empty seats, that is, he really missed the exam.
There is no official official announcement of the exact number of absenteeism. We can only guess based on what we see and hear about the absence rate this year that the absenteeism rate is very high. We can make a bold guess that the number of absentees is exactly equal to the increase in registration, so the possibility of the score line falling is very, very small.
4: This year, has divided the examination room into "Yin and Yang examination rooms" to take all the exams. Although there are many people who are absent from the exam, there are also many people who have prepared for the exam in a down-to-earth manner and persisted in completing the exam. There will still be so many outstanding people taking the exam. Admission scores will not necessarily go down just because some people are affected. The days of the
exam were also the peak of the first wave of "yang" after the policy was liberalized. There may be "yang" in the "yin examination room" and "yin" in the "yang examination room". The poisonous beads are pervasive. It doesn't matter whether you can perform normally or not. If you don't have "yang" in the first place, you may be infected during the two-day exam and it may affect the exam. Since everyone taking the exam has been affected, I still hold the same view. There are too many outstanding people, and the possibility of the score line falling is very small.
5: Three years after the epidemic, the general employment environment has deteriorated. A graduate degree is indeed more popular in the job market, and the postgraduate entrance examination has become more and more difficult.
Those college students who originally planned to go abroad cannot go abroad, and most of the fresh graduates who have not signed a good job are working hard to prepare. Especially after part-time graduate students were recognized, many former students who have been severely beaten by society have also realized the importance of academic qualifications. Everyone is ready. The test may be more thorough and more serious. If there are people who are better than yourself and work harder than yourself, the possibility of your score falling is very small.
If you work hard alone, you will get ashore, but if a group of outstanding people work hard, the result will only be an increase in the national level!
