After the National Day this year, due to epidemic prevention and control reasons in Lanzhou, my daughter basically took online classes at home this semester. It has been almost three months now.
My daughter is currently in the first grade of junior high school. Through her online classes this semester, I have a lot of feelings. I would like to share my views here. Please don’t comment on whether they are right or wrong.
Reducing the burden on primary and secondary school students is one of the things that the Ministry of Education has paid close attention to in recent years. The purpose of reducing the burden is to achieve the all-round development of children's moral, intellectual, physical, artistic and physical skills. After all, for children, academic performance is important, but they cannot ultimately be cultivated into high-scoring students with low abilities. I completely agree.
After nearly a semester of online classes, I found that online classes are actually one of the means to implement the goal of double minus . Why do you say this? What is
double reduction? We often say that double reduction is to reduce students who do not study and irresponsible parents. This is double reduction.
Let’s look back at home online classes.
Whether students listen carefully in online classes depends on the supervision of the students themselves and their parents. If students listen carefully, it doesn’t matter if they don’t understand, because they can watch the replays and listen to them repeatedly, and parents can also grasp the effectiveness of students’ listening in time. In addition, because there is no school, there is no interference between students. For children who study hard, online classes should not be too enjoyable.
Of course, online classes will definitely have an impact on children’s eyesight because they have to look at mobile phones and tablets all the time. But even if there are no online classes, won’t children use tablets to play games and watch cartoons? Obviously impossible, the electronic informatization of society is a characteristic of their era.
As for the lack of learning atmosphere and classroom interaction that some parents mentioned about not going to school, in fact, I have always felt that learning is a personal matter. I understand the importance of learning, and whether they learn well or not depends entirely on the students themselves. For children who do not like to study, sending them to school is only a comfort to the parents' hearts, and it does not help much in improving the children's learning.
Just like adults doing work, the work must be done by yourself in the end. Who can help you? Who can always help you?
suggested that after the epidemic is over, the education department should summarize the advantages and disadvantages of online classes and use them together after offline classes resume. This can help children who love to learn achieve better and more stable results!
