Choose Yale School of Management, looking forward to taking this opportunity to appreciate the style of professors from top business schools in the United States, participate in the collision and discussion of thinking under different cultural backgrounds, and have a more international and comprehensive mentality about the future business environment. At the same time, I think behavioral science is a very important cognitive course in management science. It provides systematic theoretical support for the management thinking and behavior of modern enterprises from a practical perspective, and is of great practical value.

They can combine theory with practice to understand and understand the luxury goods industry and develop ideas. venchi brand guests brought chocolate to the class to share with students, so that everyone can understand the characteristics of the product more intuitively. Although our online classmates couldn't taste it, they immediately placed an order online to buy it, and planted grass while learning knowledge.

Surprisedly found that some Nigerian classmates had studied in China and were still using WeChat. So I became friends with them outside of the zoom class. In and out of the classroom, I felt the strong desire of Nigerian classmates for opportunities, development and entrepreneurship. Even a conversation with the speaker at the lecture can evolve into a successful contract. On the business school platform full of thought collisions, these entrepreneurs are using their all their passion to change the status quo of the country bit by bit.

Shiyu
The little "surprise" that impressed me the most is the way the teacher asked questions, especially when introducing some abbreviations of concepts, the teacher first asked us to find these abbreviations in alphabet soup, and then let everyone guess the meaning of the abbreviations through online voting. Finally, the answer was announced and explained, deepening our memory of the concept.

In the fierce market competition environment, both parties to the business terms negotiation often unconsciously fall into the thinking and even trap of zero-sum game . The course of Yale made me understand how to always maintain a win-win mindset while making a big cake. The mall has never lacked intrigue and keeps sincerity. Sometimes, "no skills, it's all about feelings" will prompt both parties to make a deal. But at the same time, it is worth noting that the grasp of the degree between "staying sincere" and "silly and sweet" is the effective way to promote negotiations.

Huang Yong
I learned from the course how to find Trees in common interests from negotiations, and I realized the powerful power of Predict Markets and the role of Averaging Opinion in group discussions and decision-making, as well as how to influence customer behavior through marketing strategies. Yale's GNW overseas courses have brought me more about understanding cutting-edge ideas and theories, contacting the operating model of foreign business schools, curriculum system, career development plan, , and learning their unique insights from overseas students who are teaching together and establishing a network with them.

As the company's management, I should have a longer-term vision, stand at a higher footing, and integrate the ESG concepts into all levels of company management.

Yizilin

Q1: Which professor’s opinions impressed you? What kind of inspiration has it triggered?

Shiyu
Our ESMT course is mainly taught by teacher Hanna. Her teaching method is very funny and relaxed, and she often interacts with us in real time. Even if we cannot visit the scene in person, we can strongly feel her care for us. During her teaching process, what impressed me most was that in an SSAB case, she introduced value chain (value chain) into case analysis, forming a closed loop from manufacturing, production, transportation, and recycling, and then analyzing the possible impacts in ESG in each link, and systematically guiding us to understand all aspects considered in ESG financial assessment.I was deeply impressed by Professor Shane Frederick’s Dual Systems & Choice Architecture course. This is a 3-hour hard-core dry goods course, with a PPT of more than 100 pages, mainly talking about the working modes of the two systems of the human brain, including how to activate them, and using the corresponding working mechanism to formulate marketing strategies to influence users' behavior, etc. A total of five types of marketing strategy are mentioned. The inspiration I brought to me is that marketing is inseparable from psychology . Good marketing must be based on understanding customer psychology, otherwise there is no way to talk about it.

Li Zao
What impressed the most was the Negotiation Mindset course taught by Dr. Daylian Cain. It mentioned "Finding the Tree": that is, finding a transaction breakthrough that is valuable to the negotiating opponent and at the same time, one's own side achieves a small cost, and "always keep sincere" are very inspiring to me. Although due to the time difference, this class was very "painful" for domestic students from 1:45 am to 5 am, but Dr. Cain's humorous and easy-to-understand teaching, as well as the case interaction of classroom simulation negotiations, made us sigh that it was worth it!
