In order to implement the "New Era in My Eyes" theme field trip activity requirements of five departments including the Propaganda Department of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, Lin Qiang, a national model military demobilized cadre, national outstanding educator, famous photographer and writer, recently rushed to Ganzi Prefecture with a camera again, using images to witness the changes and development of education over the past ten years.
The fourth stop, Lin Qiang entered Kangding City . "A century-old plan is based on education; education plan is based on teachers." Lin Qiang has always been concerned about the school on snow line and the teachers on snow line.
On October 15, Lin Qiang came to Xikang Welfare School at an altitude of 3,900 meters. The school was established in 1998 and is an orphan home in 13 counties in Ganzi Prefecture. Today, the school has more than 80 college students. After graduation, these students are distributed in all walks of life, and some have become soldiers, civil servants, and doctors, but more students return to this school to become teachers and continue to cultivate children like them.
Here, Lin Qiang met his old friend again - Hu Zhong Teacher and his lover Xie Xiaojun . They are outstanding representatives of teachers in this school. For 22 years, Hu Zhong and his wife and other teachers have regarded this school as their home and orphans as their children, so that they can not only learn cultural knowledge, but also grow up healthily. The efforts and persistence of Hu Zhong and his wife infected Lin Qiang and moved many people; in 2012, Hu Zhong and his wife were named "Touching China's Person of the Year".
Lin Qiang visited Xikang Welfare School teacher
On October 16, the mountain was blocked due to heavy snow, and the road to Yulong West Village Small Village on the western slope of Gongga Mountain was temporarily blocked.
More than 30 years ago, Lin Qiang went to Yulong West Village Primary School and met Teacher Jiga. At that time, there was only one teacher in Jiga, a primary school in Yulong West Village, with an altitude of 4,100 meters. He stayed there for 28 years until he retired. Lin Qiang has been there many times, and the photos of Jiga and Village Primary School he took attracted the attention of Du Aihu, a graduate student at Tsinghua University. After graduation, Du Aihu found it with the photos and took the instruction stick from Jiga. Du Aihu's story inspired other college students. Today, more than 30 college students have been teaching in many schools around Gongga Mountain.
Lin Qiang visited the 76-year-old Jiga in Kangding City. They were all very concerned about the recent situation of Yulong West Village Primary School. The two used their mobile phones to connect the village primary school teacher Dejicim. Soon, Lin Qiang saw the photo sent by Dejicim on WeChat. In the picture, the national flag flutters in the wind, and the children smile happily with the dictionary issued by the school. At this moment, Lin Qiang and Jiga also showed smiles.
Every time Lin Qiang goes to Yulong West Village Primary School, he will pass by boarding school in the Jiagenba area and leave many precious images for the school. This time, Lin Qiang walked into the new campus of the school for the first time and held the hand of Tibetan Chinese teacher Zeren Lemai.
"I studied here in elementary school. At that time, the school was still in the old campus, with a small area and not many students. In 2018, I graduated from Southwest University for Nationalities and returned to my alma mater to teach, the school had moved into the new campus, and the number of students had more than doubled. I am sincerely happy about the changes in my alma mater!" Zeren Lemai looked at the old photos taken by Lin Qiang while telling him that he witnessed the development and changes of the school over the past decade with different identities.
When Lin Qiang asked him why he returned to his hometown from Chengdu, he replied firmly: "I am a child from Jiagenba. I have no choice but to change my hometown with education and let my younger brothers and sisters see the vast world outside!"
On October 17, on the way back to Chengdu, Lin Qiang kept receiving photos sent by teachers through WeChat. He turned on his phone and saw the teachers and students of Jiagenba watching the opening meeting of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The children of Yuke recited "Osmanthus Rain" in unison. The students of Zongta jumped up happily. The teachers of Ganzi County taught on campus under the snow mountain...
