The case of primary school students rescuing the elderly is believed to provide a positive driving effect for first aid education in primary and secondary schools.
The significance of first aid education is not only to allow students to help others, but also to better protect themselves and hold "safety" and "life" in their hands. For students, mastering relevant knowledge can help improve their awareness of emergency risk avoidance, be able to deal with emergencies calmly, and help the healthy growth of teenagers. In addition, strengthening first aid education will help students develop excellent moral character of helping others and form a good atmosphere of mutual help in the whole society. At present, basic first aid skills such as the "Heimlik First Aid Method" and cardiopulmonary resuscitation are becoming increasingly popular, which has also laid a good foundation for the school to promote first aid education.
First aid education as an important "life course" should be valued by the whole society. According to statistics, about 1.13 million people die from cardiac arrest in China every year, 80% of which occur outside the hospital. This means that during the golden rescue time, it is crucial for the patient's life to be rescued in a timely manner. Therefore, schools should regularly carry out relevant courses to explain to students common sense of first aid and the use of first aid utensils. At the same time, we cannot just focus on theoretical knowledge, but students must be allowed to truly master first aid skills through practice. As for the education department, schools should be effectively supervised to ensure that relevant courses are carried out with quality and quantity. Clear teaching standards should also be formulated and the teaching content should be carefully studied. Finally, we should increase publicity and increase parents' attention so that first aid education can not only stay in schools, but also allow the whole society to enhance safety awareness and improve first aid capabilities.
In the " "Healthy China 2030" Planning Outline " released by the State Council, the mastery of basic first aid knowledge and skills was clearly pointed out as an advocacy indicator.
