On April 18, 2022, Zibo Vocational College held a work deployment meeting for the establishment of a school upgraded to a vocational undergraduate school. In May 2019, the school was officially renamed Shandong Foreign Language Vocational and Technical University, thus becoming one of the first batch of undergraduate-level vocational schools in the country approved by the Ministry of Education.
