Liu Ping, the second-level chief clerk of the Chongqing Jinyun Mountain National Nature Reserve Administration, said that the Jinyun Mountain Nature Education Center mainly serves young people and has three major areas: a science education exhibition hall, a natural education area and an academic exchange area. On the one hand, it can fully display the natural characteristics of Jinyun Mountain, on the other hand, it can also let visitors understand natural knowledge through natural education places such as micro laboratories, forest reading rooms, and nature classrooms.

"Today's young people spend very little time in nature, and their understanding of nature is also very low." Liu Ping said, "Our center has been in trial operation for less than two months and has received more than 2,000 people, including "Most of them are teenagers." These visitors are very interested in the center's herbarium, where they can prepare plant specimens and enhance their communication with nature.

The relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Forestry Bureau introduced that Chongqing is rich in natural resources such as forests, wetlands, grasslands, wild animals and plants, geological landforms, etc., as well as various types of nature reserves, scenic spots, forest parks, wetland parks, Geoparks and other natural reserves have good resources and conditions for carrying out nature education.

The person in charge said that Chongqing’s nature education work started in 2011, and a number of nature education infrastructures have been built so far. At present, there are about 210 nature reserves in the city after optimization and integration, among which 25 nature education venues have been built to carry out nature education to the public using pictures, images, specimens, electronic sand tables, landscape walls and other forms.

At the same time, Chongqing City also takes the opportunity of " International Forest Day ", World Wetlands Day , " World Wildlife Day " and "Bird Love Week" every year to continuously launch forests, wetlands, etc. that young people can participate in. The number of participants in nature education experience activities will exceed 80,000 in 2021 alone.

In the next step, the Chongqing Forestry Bureau will speed up the construction of nature education venues in national nature reserves, continue to promote the construction of nature education venues in other nature reserves, and enrich natural experience, natural art, ecological imaging, nature study, ecological health care and other contents.
