iPhone 14 has allowed a man to get a notice of his wife's car accident nearby, causing him to arrive at the scene and provide assistance before medical staff arrives. iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra all have built-in advanced sensors for car accident detection. An algorithm uses information from the device to determine if a car accident occurred and calls for help.

According to the post of Reddit, user u/unclescorpion was notified immediately shortly after the traffic accident. He was calling her and heard her scream--and the phone broke.
His iPhone immediately notified him that his wife had an accident and provided the exact location so he could go to the scene right away.
The cause of the accident was that another driver was distracted, crossed the traffic and ran into his wife head-on. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured except for the abrasions.

The couple has only recently upgraded to iPhone 14. The man said he knew about the feature when he purchased it, but was not interested in it because he thought he would never use it.
collision detection triggers an emergency call, it can contact anyone on the first responder and user emergency contact list, and users can set up emergency contacts in the health app.
