Starting around mid-October, the public health incident broke out at the Foxconn factory in Zhengzhou, and it is still working hard to deal with it today. In late October, many videos and topics about Foxconn employees returning home on foot on the highway began to appear online. They carried their carry-on luggage, and some walked hundreds of kilometers just to return to their hometown.
In the waves of Foxconn employees returning home, Foxconn finally couldn't withstand the pressure and took out high bonuses to retain people. After all, Apple's orders are constantly backlogged, which can easily lead to delays in delivery. But from the perspective of Foxconn employees, compared with the bonus of tens of thousands, the willingness to return home and escape from the chaotic factory is more touching.

At the beginning, the news that "about 20,000 people in Zhengzhou Park were confirmed" appeared online. Foxconn immediately denied the rumors, saying that the news was seriously untrue and that the production and operation of the park was relatively stable.
This message seems to be a stabilizing needle, but Foxconn uses the word "relative" and knows that things are not that simple. Foxconn internal employees stated that the factory is facing greater management pressure. Employees need to undergo nucleic acid tests and reports every day, but due to insufficient staff, shortage of medical supplies and scarce isolation facilities, negative employees cannot go to work with peace of mind.
They don’t know whether they will be infected, nor when the public health incident will end. In this hazy factory environment, escaping Foxconn has become an option.
In the early days, Foxconn closed its factory, and some people tried to climb over the fence and ran away, but only a small number of people left. But by the end of October, Foxconn lifted the lockdown and stayed voluntarily. In addition, various places have issued notices to prepare for Foxconn employees to return home, so more and more people embarked on the road to returning home.
At one time, thousands of Foxconn employees ran away. They walked on the country road and ventured to the highway just to avoid the possibility of infection to others. Under such circumstances, local people also spontaneously organized the placement of daily necessities on the way back to their hometown, so that they could go further and closer to their hometown.
The departure of employees reflects two problems at the Foxconn factory in Zhengzhou. One is the chaotic management and the lack of reasonable coordination of arrangements between employees and work. Even if employees are diagnosed one after another, they still go to work as usual, making employees worried that their safety is not guaranteed.
The second is that the information is not transparent and cannot promptly and accurately feedback the factory status information that employees want to know. No one knew what would happen next, so he chose to leave.

Foxconn has been established for about 37 years. It is a veteran giant. In the early days, it relied on Terry Gou to run around the local market and successfully won orders for Nokia and Motorola , and went public in Hong Kong in 2005. What really changed Foxconn's fate was actually Apple's order cooperation.
