Qualcomm said that by the end of the latest year, many VR and MR devices will be equipped with the latest XR chipset Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1, which will be launched in a new market.
Currently, two devices are equipped with Qualcomm 's latest Snapdragon XR chipset: the recently launched Meta Quest Pro and Lenovo ThinkReality VRX. Both are VR all-in-ones that can achieve augmented reality interaction through color perspective.
Snapdragon XR2+, released with Quest Pro on October 11, offers better heat dissipation performance, delivering 50% more continuous power and 30% thermal performance compared to the previous Snapdragon XR2 launched in 2019.

Qualcomm said: "The latest chip allows devices to simultaneously use more concurrent multimedia and perception technologies to achieve full-sensory interactions, such as creating lifelike human expressions in the virtual world without affecting the appearance."
and Snapdragon XR2+ introduced a new image processing pipeline that provides less than 10 milliseconds of delays for the color perspective functions of Quest Pro and ThinkReality VRX. It also supports 8K 60fps 360 degree video, low latency Wi-Fi 6, head, hand and controller tracking, 3D reconstruction, automatic room mapping and high pixel density display.
Finally, Qualcomm said, "many OEMs have promised to commercialize devices equipped with Snapdragon XR2+ released by the end of 2022", which means we will usher in a large number of high-end devices that will bring more competition from consumers and enterprise space.
