Webmaster's Home (ChinaZ.com) October 12th news: Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on Tuesday that his company's latest virtual reality headset, known as Meta Quest Pro, is priced at $1,500 and will start shipping on October 25th.
Zuckerberg first introduced the device at Meta's Connect conference for VR and augmented reality developers. The new headset, which costs $1,100 more than Meta's Quest2 helmet, includes new technologies such as the advanced mobile Snapdragon computer chip developed in collaboration with Qualcomm, helping the device support more advanced graphics performance.
Quest Pro also has an improved touch controller that includes embedded sensors for better hand tracking, as well as new lenses for improved visual experience. As a truly immersive VR helmet, Meta has equipped the Quesst Pro with tracking sensors that can replicate user eye movements and facial expressions, creating a feeling that virtual characters can also communicate with their eyes.
