Microsoft's iOS version of the Office application has been upgraded to version 2.46 today, supporting iPadOS, bringing the unified Office experience of Word, Excel and PowerPoint to Apple's tablet platform.
Microsoft update shows:
Office is now available on iPad: We have integrated the Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications into one application optimized for iPadOS. In addition, you will see other tools that can make you more efficient than ever. For example, you will be able to quickly create and sign PDFs, and convert pictures into documents.
Microsoft launched the official version of the Office mobile application last year. It combines the functions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and also supports OCR and PDF, but the volume is only half the sum of the three.
The Office application for iPad is free for iPad Air, iPad and iPad mini users, but a subscription to Microsoft365 is required to take full advantage of all features. For iPad Pro users, even a paid subscription is required to edit or create documents.
