5,450 meters above sea level, after successfully crossing the Kriya Ancient Trail, the "ancestor of mountains", the Kunlun Mountains' natural dangers, another team of explorers set out again, facing the "Sea of Death" with the Huawei Mate50 series, challenging the 1,500-kilometer trek through the Taklimakan Desert, once again challenging the impossible!
At the Huawei Mate50 series and full-scenario autumn new product launch conference held on September 6 this year, Huawei Managing Director, Terminal BG CEO, and Smart Car Solutions BU CEO Yu Chengdong presented the highlights of the "Starting in Kunlun, Crossing Mountains and Seas" travel event through an extremely shocking theme video, reflecting Huawei's Kunlun spirit of "paying tribute to those who dare to do things in the extreme". In the

video, the hard-core black technology and peak imaging capabilities of Huawei Mate50 series under extreme conditions are perfectly demonstrated. The Kunlun spirit conveyed behind it of not being afraid of hardships, never giving up, and having the courage to climb is inspiring.
It is understood that the crossing activity "Starting from Kunlun and Crossing Mountains and Seas" is jointly organized by China Exploration Association and Huawei. The activity is divided into two parts. In September this year, two explorers, Hu Tao and Yan Bajin, completed the Kunlun Challenge, which "starts at the Kriya Pass, climbs to an altitude of 5,450 meters, crosses natural dangers, and connects with the world in extreme places."

Recently, three explorers, He Yulong, Hua Diao, and Long Wen, carrying Huawei Mate50 series, have started the second phase of the "1,500-kilometer hike through the no-man's land of the Taklimakan Desert" adventure. This event is of great significance. The three explorers chose a crossing route that has set a record for human exploration, and the extreme environment in the desert not only places higher demands on the physical fitness of the explorers, but is also an unprecedented extreme challenge for any mobile phone.
The launch ceremony of the expedition across the Taklimakan Desert was held grandly in Hami City, Xinjiang, the Hami Sea Road Scenic Area, and the Milan ancient city ruins located in Ruoqiang County, Bazhou. Leaders of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Department of Culture and Tourism and the China Exploration Association as well as many explorers and guests attended the launching ceremony. After the ceremony, the three explorers participating in this time-travel expedition started hiking from the ruins of Milan to start the adventure.

It is understood that this expedition traveled from east to west, along 39° north latitude, through the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert. The starting point is the Milan ruins in Ruoqiang County, Xinjiang, passing through the hinterland of the desert, passing through the town of Tazhong, visiting the ancient site of the most exquisite ancient country in the Thirty-six Kingdoms of the Western Regions - Niya ruins , visiting the last village in the desert - Dariyabuyi Township Humanities and Nature Reserve; crossing the Hotan River and passing through Mazhatag, the end point is the N39 desert camp in Maigaiti County.
The Taklimakan Desert is located in the center of the Tarim Basin in southern Xinjiang. It is the largest desert in China, the tenth largest desert in the world, and the second largest mobile desert in the world. The entire desert is about 1,000 kilometers long from east to west and 400 kilometers wide from north to south, covering an area of 330,000 square kilometers. The average annual precipitation does not exceed 100 millimeters, with the lowest being only four to five millimeters. The average evaporation is as high as 2,500 to 3,400 millimeters. The temperature difference between day and night reaches more than 40 degrees Celsius. The climate is extremely harsh and can be called a "life forbidden zone".

In fact, Taklimakan means "can go in, but can't get out" in Uyghur . The Western explorer Stein called it the "Sea of Death" 100 years ago.
Under normal circumstances, it is very difficult for a convoy to cross, and it requires rich experience and professional guides. However, the 1,500-kilometer hike is an unprecedented test for both people and mobile phones.
The period of this trip is desert winter. The temperature during the day is generally between 5℃ and -10℃, and at night it will plummet to -15℃ to -30℃. Huawei Mate50 series will face the severe test of whether the mobile phone can be used normally and charged normally under extremely low temperatures. At the same time, there is no signal in the uninhabited area, and explorers need to rely on the Beidou satellite messages of Huawei Mate50 series to stay in touch with the outside world. In addition, during a 1,500-kilometer hike, the phone will inevitably be bumped and dropped. The Kunlun glass of Huawei Mate50 series will come in handy. The beautiful scenery such as the desert sunset and the starry sky along the way were all recorded using the XMAGE imaging system.
Although it is extremely difficult, with the challenge of Huawei Mate50 series overcoming Kunlun last time, we are full of expectations for its performance.

Judging from the feedback from previous expeditions by Hu Tao and Yan Bajin, the Beidou satellite message of Huawei Mate50 series can report safety to the outside world at any time, and the information sent also contains the location, longitude, latitude and coordinate map. If the phone is dropped into cold water, it can still be turned on normally after being taken out. Under the protection of Kunlun glass, which is 10 times more resistant to drops, the phone will remain intact even if it is hit by a stone.

In addition, the innovative emergency mode of the Huawei Mate50 series allows the phone to stand by for 3 hours, or make calls for 12 minutes, or light the code 10 times, or scan the code 4 times, even when there is no condition to charge.
Huawei Mate50 series is equipped with the ultra-optical variable XMAGE imaging system, which is the first in the industry with a ten-stop adjustable physical aperture. The depth of field range and blur level can be adjusted at will, bringing XMAGE imaging style shooting experiences such as master night scenes and professional portraits, achieving greater creative space, and helping the two explorers record the beautiful scenery along the way.

During the travel activities, many environments are ever-changing and many scenery are fleeting. The ultra-optical variable XMAGE imaging system of Huawei Mate50 series plays a major role. Whether it is wide-angle, telephoto, time-lapse photography, or even low-light photography, it can meet the shooting needs of explorers. Especially when hiking outdoors, you cannot carry a heavy camera. At this time, you rely on the Huawei Mate50 series to produce blockbusters.
The adventure of this expedition through the Taklimakan Desert is unprecedented in terms of its dangers, difficulty and profound significance.
The reason why Huawei successfully climbed the Kriya Ancient Trail in the Kunlun Mountains, the "ancestor of mountains" at an altitude of 5,450 meters, and then faced the "Sea of Death" and challenged the 1,500-kilometer trek across the Taklimakan Desert is obviously to convey to the outside world that no matter what difficulties, obstacles and harsh environments we encounter, we are not afraid of dangers and have the courage to climb. It is the Kunlun spirit of "paying tribute to those who dare to do in the extreme" that has made the Huawei Mate series what it is today.
We also look forward to the success of this time-travel adventure, and are waiting for the triumphant return of the three explorers to bring us blockbuster films of stunning beauty and little-known touching stories along the way.
