Although the sales of Volkswagen decreased by 16.36% compared with the same period last year, Volkswagen still ranked first in the sales ranking in December with sales of 266,862 units. Volkswagen’s cumulative sales of 2,609,238 vehicles in 2020, also ranked first among all brands. Ranked second to third are the top three Japanese Honda, Toyota and Nissan, with sales of 192,823 units (+46.92% year-on-year), 144907 units (+19.50% year-on-year) and 129,568 units (+8.02% year-on-year) . The sales of Buick in December surged 62.20% compared with the same period last year, with 128,591 units sold, ranking fifth. The fifth to tenth places are all independent auto brands, among which Geely sold 127,932 vehicles (+7.37% year-on-year). Sales of Haval (105,485 vehicles) and Wuling (81,625 vehicles) surged 34.56% and 53.04% respectively, ranking seventh and eighth respectively. Sales of Changan (73,711 units) and Baojun (67,998 units) declined slightly, ranking ninth and tenth respectively.
