Chery New Energy Ant currently has two range versions on sale, with a range of 301 kilometers and 408 kilometers respectively. Zhidian Travel has learned that Chery New Energy Ant will add an entry-level model with lower configurations. The new car's endurance and battery energy density are lower than those of the current model, with 251 kilometers and 25.056 kilowatt hours respectively.
The new model of Little Ant is expected to be launched early next year. The price of the new car is expected to be lower than the current model (starting at 73,900 yuan). Referring to the price range of models on sale, the starting price of the entry-level Little Ant may be 69,900 yuan.
The appearance of the new model of Chery Ant is consistent with the current model. The closed grille is flanked by LED headlights. The vertical structures on both sides are designed to imitate aerodynamics, and are surrounded by chrome-plated trim strips. According to information previously disclosed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new car will provide different colors of roof rails, headlight shapes and different styles of body stickers.
Compared with the current model, the maximum power of the electric motor installed in the new Little Ant model has been increased to 36 kilowatts. The battery energy density and endurance have dropped most obviously, which may be the key reason for its price reduction. Chery New Energy may use disguised price cuts to reduce the impact of the withdrawal of subsidies for new energy vehicles in order to boost sales.
