BYD Song Pro DM version currently uses a 1.5T plug-in hybrid power system. The fastest acceleration time from zero to 100 kilometers is only 4.7 seconds, the overall power is strong, and the comprehensive fuel consumption is only 1.3-1.4L/100km. The online auto market has learned from BYD that the new Song Pro DM will use BYD’s new DM-i super hybrid, equipped with a Snap Cloud 1.5L plug-in hybrid engine. Although the power of the entire system is not as good as that of the current model, its fuel consumption is better, with the lowest comprehensive fuel consumption being only 0.9L/100km. In addition, the new car's pure electric cruising range can reach up to 110km, surpassing current models.

In an environment where the market share of hybrid models continues to increase, BYD has split its hybrid technology into two factions, DM-p super power and DM-i super hybrid. The former pursues extreme performance and the latter pursues extreme economy. It is expected that BYD’s PHEV models will provide two different power options in the future. The 1.5L engine used in the new Song Pro DM has a maximum power of 81kW. Although the parameters do not look high, its thermal efficiency is as high as 43%, and it has an ultra-high compression ratio of 15.5 .

According to the declared information, the new Song Pro DM provides two types of motors for selection. Among them, a high-performance motor has a maximum power of 145kW and a maximum torque of 325N·m, and the other has a maximum power of 132kW and a maximum torque of 316N·m. The parameters of the two motors both exceed the current Song Pro DM. It is expected that the price of the new Song Pro DM 1.5LPHEV version will be slightly lower than the current 1.5TPHEV version, and the starting price may be around 160,000 yuan.
