Second-hand car transactions across the province from January to September 2020: Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Foshan, and Huizhou ranked top five. Among them, Shenzhen was 261,000 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 19.3%; Guangzhou was 194,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%; Dongguan was 179,000 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 4.7%, Foshan was 163,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 0.6%; Huizhou was 93,000 Vehicles, down 0.2% year-on-year.

The average price of second-hand car transactions in the province from January to September 2020: 68,000 yuan per vehicle, an increase of 6.3% over the same period last year. The model structure of second-hand car transactions in the province: passenger car transactions were 1.317 million units, accounting for 90%; commercial vehicle transactions were 250,000 units, accounting for 9%; other vehicle transactions were 23,000 units, accounting for 1%.

From January to September 2020, local transfer of second-hand cars in the province: 1.206 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 1.9%; relocation: 437,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 6.4%. Local transfer of second-hand cars in the Pearl River Delta: 765,000 units, down 5.1% year-on-year; Relocation: 348,000 units, down 7.9% year-on-year. Local transfer of second-hand cars in non-PRD regions: 441,000 vehicles, an increase of 9.1% year-on-year; relocation: 89,000 vehicles, basically unchanged year-on-year.

Overall, the second-hand car market data in Guangdong Province from January to September 2020 tended to stabilize as a whole. Affected by the epidemic in the first half of the year, the second-hand car transaction volume and transaction value from January to March decreased year-on-year. The return to work rate of enterprises in February was less than 50%, resulting in a year-on-year decrease of 60.8% in transaction volume and 63.3% year-on-year decline in transaction amount. Work gradually resumed, and transactions in the used car market began to increase slightly year-on-year.

From May 1st, the new policy of second-hand car tax at a 0.5% levy rate has been implemented, and local cities have also introduced policies to promote auto consumption, such as the "old-for-new" subsidy policy. The increase in new car sales has driven second-hand car transactions. The second-hand car transaction volume and transaction value increased by 14.3% and 33.7% year-on-year, and have maintained a year-on-year growth trend since then. It can be seen that the policy has a very important role in promoting the development of the industry. On November 10, the General Office of the State Council proposed that the end of 2020 will introduce reform measures to deepen the "decentralization, regulation and service" in the field of automobile production and circulation.
