Ferrari Release 499P Le Mans Hypercar Racing . The naming of 499P follows the tradition of Ferrari : 499 is a cylinder volume (in cubic centimeter ) of the car's 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine, while "P" represents the prototype. The 499P LMH's V6 engine has the same 120-degree structure as the new 296 GT3 engine launched in July, but it is not the same engine. The 499P is mainly red and paired with yellow edgings, which reminds people of the brilliant achievements made by the Ferrari 312PB at the 1972 and 1973 World Championships (the No. 50 of the car is also a commemoration of this history). 499P is a tribute to Ferrari's past and a declaration of its future.
In terms of appearance, the 499P's more unique design is a double tail wing.
At present, 499P has completed more than 12,000 kilometers of tests. Its first event show will be the WEC Sebring 1000 Mile Endurance Race in March 2023.
