A few days ago, we saw the declaration information of Dongfeng Nissan's new model Sylphy from the latest batch of new cars in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. As a mid-term facelift model, the new car has undergone a significant upgrade in appearance, which is similar to the new Teana that was launched not long ago. It continues to be available for fuel version and e-POWER extended-range version. There are also big differences in the front faces of the two models, which is easier to identify.
Specially, the new Sylphy fuel version adopts a front face design similar to the new Teana. The larger-sized polygonal air intake grille is filled with multiple horizontal chrome trim strips, and chrome decoration is also added on both sides of the grille, which looks more atmospheric than the current model. The headlight group maintains the same narrow and long shape as the current model. The high and low beams inside are LED light sources, and are decorated similar to scales, which helps to enhance the sharp effect of the front face. In addition, there are vertical flow channel decoration and a transverse chrome-plated front surround below.
The main difference between the new Sylphy e-POWER extended-range version and the fuel version is that the inside of the air intake grille is filled with chrome elements similar to the wavy texture, which looks more personal. There has been no change on the side of the new car. The position of the C-pillar has been blackened, forming a visual effect of the suspended roof, and the slightly sloping back shape also helps to enhance the smoothness of the entire vehicle.
The tail of the new Sylphy is mainly adjusted for the taillight style and rear surround. The inside of the taillight adopts a double-layer structure, while the rear surround is composed of black material and through-type chrome trim, which enhances the exquisiteness.
In the details, the new car can choose a double color-blocking body, and the style of the wheel hubs of some models is also different from the current model. In terms of power, the new Sylphy fuel version continues to be equipped with a 1.6L engine with a maximum power of 99 kilowatts (135 horsepower) and a peak torque of 159 Nm; the range-extended version is equipped with an e-POWER system composed of a 1.2L range-extended device + motor, with a motor power of 100 kilowatts (136 horsepower) and a peak torque of 300 Nm.
As the main sales model of Dongfeng Nissan, Sylphy has been selling well. With this mid-term facelift, the appearance of the new car has become more atmospheric. If it is replaced with the same interior design as Sylphy e-POWER, its market competitiveness will inevitably be further improved. What do you think of the new Sylphy? (Text/Shu Xin)
