Starting from November 15, 2022, some Baojun RM-5 cars produced from July 23, 2019 to September 4, 2021 will be recalled, totaling 63,230 cars.
Reason for recall
Vehicles within this recall range are narrow due to the lens reflective bowl size limitation of the headlights. In extreme night scenes, the driver may not be able to see the road surface on both sides when the vehicle turns, which poses safety hazards.
Solution
SAIC General Motors Co., Ltd. will install left and right auxiliary light sources for vehicles within the recall range for free to eliminate safety hazards.
Emergency response measures : When driving a vehicle at night, users should pay attention to observation, slow down and turn on the high beam if necessary.
This recall activity was carried out under the launch of defect investigation by the State Administration for Market Regulation. Affected by the investigation, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. decided to take the initiative to take the recall measures to eliminate safety hazards.

Recall Reasons

Solution
The above-mentioned producers will temporarily adopt a free upgrade of software for vehicles within the recall range to reduce the risk of thermal runaway from September 30, 2022. At the same time, starting from May 1, 2023, all power battery modules will be replaced for free for vehicles within the recall range to eliminate safety hazards.
