Recently, the Automobile Meta Universe obtained a set of imaginary appearance pictures of Honda's new CR-V TYPE-R model, which can also be regarded as CR-V high-performance sports version. The new car will be put into production in 2023 to a great extent and is expected to be launched in the second half of the same year. In the future, it will also compete with many high-performance SUVs of the same level such as Toyota GR RAV4 and Volkswagen Tange R.

From the released appearance imaginary pictures, it can be seen that the head of Honda's new CR-V TYPE-R model has been replaced with a black honeycomb-shaped grille, which further enhances the sporty atmosphere of the model. At the same time, the LED headlight groups on both sides of the front face are also consistent with the basic models, and TYPE-R model exclusive badges are also added above the grille. The rear part of the car still uses a double-sided single-out exhaust layout, and the front and rear Honda LOGO badges also adopt a classic "red head" design.

According to overseas media, Honda's new CR-V TYPE-R will be equipped with the same 2.0 Th turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 231kW (this data is a North American market model), a peak torque of 400N·m, the transmission system is matched with a 6-speed manual transmission, and a mechanical limited-slip differential is provided.
