Qilu.com·Lightning News September 1 News On September 1, the 2022 China ( Zibo ) Intelligent Connected Vehicle Challenge, co-sponsored by the Zibo Municipal People's Government and Tsinghua University Suzhou Automotive Research Institute , kicked off. At the end of the day, 22 autonomous driving teams from enterprises, universities, and scientific research institutes gathered at the Linzi Economic Development Zone Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industrial Park to start the competition.

This challenge is the first event of the 8th China Automotive Technology Transfer Conference and China (Zibo) Intelligent Connected Automotive Industry Development Conference. A total of two competition areas have been set up: the "City Level Smart Car Challenge" and the "Functional Unmanned Vehicle Challenge". The

city-level smart car challenge simulates typical urban traffic conditions, such as tunnels, S-curves, straight roads, roundabouts, etc., and designs pedestrian crossings, pedestrians running red lights, vehicle overtaking, driving avoidance, automatic parking, etc. Scenarios, focusing on testing the perception algorithm and processing capabilities of L4-L5 autonomous vehicles in dealing with typical scenarios.

Functional Unmanned Vehicle Challenge mainly simulates typical urban logistics distribution traffic scenarios and tests the perception, decision-making and execution capabilities of functional unmanned vehicles in typical scenarios.

After fierce on-site competition and public review, the top three will be determined in the two venues of the Urban Smart Car Challenge and the Functional Unmanned Car Challenge. The list of winning teams will be announced at the opening ceremony of the China Technology Transfer Conference on September 2 announced and an award ceremony held.
